I don't know if it's public or not but Ko'olau Golf Course in HNL looked stunning

It is public, it does look stunning, and it also claims to be the nation's toughest course from the back tees...Plus1, check this out: the slope is 152 from the tips.

I hope so. Local TV news has changed drastically. The job market is really depressed. Time to find some other profession.

I've been seeing more and more really crappy YouTube videos, logo and all being used on news instead of sending someone out. Looks real good on a 40" TV. NOT.

Well, it is official. I am out of a job. My position was eliminated. Along with at least 3 others at my station. I'll let it sink in for a day, then start the search. Thanks for the well wishes. I didn't even have an appetite for dinner. I DVRd Conan, but don't have any inclination to watch any tv. Former co-workers on FB have been supportive.

Good night.

That sucks rocks. I am very sorry.

The news media is just getting exponentially lazier. So are people in general...that's a key marketing point of the new job, as a matter of fact. Laziness is leading to people wanting to WATCH websites instead of reading them, because, you know, reading a page of text is a soul-crushing activity. Hence a web video solution so you hold people's attention.

In one of the Conan commercials of the past few weeks he said "It's on TV. It's like watching stuff on your iPod or computer but with a much more comfortable chair."

Anybody have any wisdom and experiences to share about Provence? Nice/Cannes/St Tropez/Monte Carlo?

Most reviews I find online are so  Of course the bed is small and the staff is only marginally attentive-- it's France! Sorting about legitimate gripes from people who expect it to be like staying at Disney's Beach Club and walking to Epcot's French pavilion is impossible.

Reach out to Monitor.

I hate agreeing with Conan or giving him any kind of positive reinforcement, but he nailed that.

I'm learning! Obviously I will be relying on the generosity of fellow FTers sharing their deal finds!^

I believe that is correct, but not sure of the details, either.

Yes. That's what I am going to do since COBRA is so expensive. Though, apparently, this new stimulus pkg keeps COBRA costs down... 65% off what COBRA normally is. Hmmm..

The cost of the COBRA varies from co. to co. depending on how good the insurance plan is. So, if the total mthly cost of COBRA for a great plan is say $400 -- paying $260 for what is a $400 product, may be worthwhile. So look at your wife's plan carefully to see if what you get for $260/mth.

Yes, I recall you talking about the 'ZFV' fare strategy! Cool!:p

I appreciate that you are not in a position to really expound on the 'whole truth' more, but you really toil for the co. & I, for one, feel that you are paid way below the value of the services that you provide!;)

^This would be awesome! It sounds like we don't want to go too overboard, but maybe I can put together a list of possible offerings & then poll the b:rolleyes:xizens as to interest. Even when it comes to polo shirts, we'd have to decide whether to offer more than one color & what those would be. Aside from shirts, I think we need the 'special' 'elite' luggage tags!

I will probably not be posting much in the next few days as I will be busy with actual 'work' - but we'll see!

You and I may not be surprised, however non-fans of The Doctor would be shocked by it's chameleon-like ability to hide in plain sight.

For those who would like to do a little reading on the "longest-running science fiction television show in the world", enjoy:

Perhaps look at PVG and then Ctrip to hkg (I haven't checked fares but PVG was much cheaper than HKG
