Well, it is official. I am out of a job. My position was eliminated. Along with at least 3 others at my station. I'll let it sink in for a day, then start the search. Thanks for the well wishes. I didn't even have an appetite for dinner. I DVRd Conan, but don't have any inclination to watch any tv. Former co-workers on FB have been supportive.

Laziness is leading to people wanting to WATCH websites instead of reading them, because, you know, reading a page of text is a soul-crushing activity. I work nights, holidays and weekends and I don't get paid any extra. I will say that I have defered my holidays to my vacation days. I haven't met a pilot that has solved a catering issue or anything else except to call us on the radio to deal with it.
