Just scored a one-way J QF LAX-(SYD)-PER ticket for 62,500!
...on a certain unnamed AAirline.
But seriously I'm stoked -- called in and there were many dates to choose from (looking at April '10) and as soon as my 55,000 citi bonus miles post :o I'll call back and book the last one. That said if anyone here is not yet on the AA/Citi churn circuit, you might want to hop on. :D |

I haven't gone into the CO Forum at large and found anyone to excoriate recently...the last effort at such that I did was at Steve GadFly's request and I thought after reading what I'd wrote that it was less than stellar.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that their implementation has its flaws. It's the constant speculation of "shenanigans" that gets very old. It's been said a thousand times on FT, but I'll say it again - if you want to sit up front, pay for it!
FWIW, I don't think I've ever been the victim of shenanigans but I agree with a lot of people that post here that a lot of the policies surrounding the EUA process are flawed and should be re-thought. Stepping off -box |
Looks like Obama has decent taste in burgers. He made a stop at 5 Guys.^ At least he did something right. ;)

When people  at the EUAs/Up-for-$$$/IRROPs/co.com/WeCare/etc. it's seems it's often because the front line was not empowered (or not willing) to make a common sense judgment call. Gordo literally burned the rule book, I hope CO does not decide to bring it back. |

Uh-oh....by suggesting you take a peek at that 'other' forum with all the , did I make you jaded for life??

What is this so-called churn circuit that you speak of? I don't spend much time investigating offers other than CO & the irregular US ones (my wife still has some miles there, don't hate me). I did a quick search & only found the usual 25k for opening a card.

Shenanigans might be when you see an NRSA sitting in F when you know that seat is yours. Otherwise you have no clue as to what transpired between the GA and the upgraded person.

If you have not done so already, check out the Other Credit Cards Forum -- lots of good info there. |

What's been eating up my time recently is Becker (CPA review classes.) Once that ball of fun is dealt with I've then got to deal with the GMAT review. I swear, it never ends. Oh well, at least I have my points. My precious, precious points! :D:D |
