I doubt Canada wants another province. Nebraska, yea right. Could you image how high their taxes would become if they succeeded? They'd also cry like little children when they are no longer US citizens. Could you image needing a passport to leave Nebraska to get back into the US? :rolleyes:

I'm not really for secession, but I think the threat of it should be something people listen for. Plus, these people aren't threatening secession because of Obama, they are threatening it because they believe some of the bills being proposed go against states rights.

Perry's words were twisted when he brought it up and of course the media flocked to it. Though I still can't wait till he's out of office.

Without drifting too far into OMNI-land I think that states rights is a good thing and we need to be careful when we drift too far into federal control. They can't get the post office right (something I consider macro and easily replicated across states), how do we expect them to get the micro things right that may differ from state to state?

I don't think the only reason I should live somewhere is the weather and certain types of natural disasters.

I like the alofts. The three that I have been to have all been clean and the rooms are nice (especially for the price point).

The PDX aloft has a happy hour and the music was blaring when we walked in and people were on the patio outside (along with music) and that's what she didn't like.

I grabbed a room at the Washington Marriott (1221 22nd St. NW), but I am open to moving to Crystand City if that is where the group is staying.

As to the Air and Space Museum, the Udvar-Hazy Center is IMHO far superior to the Air and Space on the Mall.

July is almost over! Just 7-8 more weeks to go before (hopefully) the season's first cool front drops temps into the 80s! :rolleyes:

But it has to be split into "wobbly" and "bonkers" and then both together. A "wobbly" flight is one that isn't horribly delayed. A "bonkers" flight is multi-hour delayed. "wobbly-bonkers" together should be used for only the most extreme cases...like last night at EWR, the IAH snowstorm, and when the day comes that giant frogs rain from the sky.
