Does anyone know who's visiting LAS? They are posting a 31minute delay for VIP Movement.

Fun. Tomorrow I'll be adding DEN-SHR service in AM, on the 19 seat Aero Hotter.

I'm so tempted to buy a couple of DC-8s as my longer range aircraft. They are pretty big and expensive, but so retro and cool at the same time. I also dream of my future international routes operating with L-1011s. And I might toss in a few 737-200 Advanceds for something in the smaller size with greater range than my current BAE 146-300 fleet.

And don't knock the Aero Hotter. For a 19 seater it's insanely profitable on shorter routes to tiny places. I've pretty much copied ZK's real-world strategy out of DEN to EAS airports with 19 seat planes in the AM world and have found it to be quite profitable. Those little places are cheap to set up, and the Aero Hotter is ridiculously cheap to acquire. After just a few AM days/real world hours, you've covered the initial investment and the thing turns into a cash machine.

I've always wanted to go to Wyoming, not necessarily the Sheridan part.

How retarded is this:

Itinerary on Travel Agent's Website:
ATL-IAH Fare Code U
IAH-BTR Fare Code U
BTR-IAH Fare Code Y
IAH-ATL Fare Code Y

Price: Just over $800

Itinerary on CO.com (Same Dates/Flight Numbers):
ATL-IAH Fare Code U
IAH-BTR Fare Code U
BTR-IAH Fare Code Y
IAH-ATL Fare Code A (Confirmed first)

Price: Around $675

Now, forgetting about the absurdity of CO charging more for the itinerary with a flight pricing out in A versus Y (insert  here), what's really aggravating is my corporate travel policy that says it should be booked by the travel agent, who can't find the fare that CO.com is quoting, and keeps saying "You can only book into coach." I'm all for following the rules, but come on, I'm riding in F either way here. And I can save the company nearly $150 in airfare, plus a $23 "convenience" fee, but not booking with the travel agent in this situation.

I think this is going to be one of those times I bend the rules, and ask for forgiveness later (if anyone even notices).

Parts of it are quite nice. But much of the state is not in those parts.

I spent way too much time in the not-so-nice parts in 2001 for work (see my FlightMemory).

If you're talking about July 4th weekend, that would be me. ;)

Silly beyond all belief. I understand rules, but not when it COSTS money:rolleyes:

And now to find out if there will be a honeymoon... It appears that  Southern Airlines is now thermally scanning all passengers boarding the LAX-CAN flight.

Congrats and welcome to the club.

I'm going to assume that you all passed the thermal screening.

My upcoming european itin has got to be the most ghetto reservation in the continental system at this point. Aside from the glitches I posted to the co.com thread - now it finally has R openings for the return and I try to book/buy them and it errors-out.

Jeeze :P
