If anyone is looking for a quick run out of EWR this weekend, LAX is $231 all in. You can go out on Friday and return on Saturday or do a same day turn on Friday or Saturday. Some flights even appear to have decent upgrade potential!

I don't need the EQMs, but I'm still thinking about doing this one on Friday evening... The price isn't the greatest, but it's convenient...

It figures they would do something like that on the weekend of the Shogun mini-DO

She resides at the top of the slippery slope.

I don't fault her, I fault the judicial system that allowed it to go through.

Interesting facts about the cited case (I don't agree with it, on any level, but it dispels some of the urban legend qualities of it).

Think of it the other way - if the fare works both ways, someone from LAX might be able to attend the pre-game with a fare like this.

Yesterday I witnessed a first, an FA upgrading two people after the door closed. I've never seen this on CO before, just UA. :D

I've seen it -- when the last thing the GA does before the door closes is hand the FA a list of who to upgrade.

And now to find out if there will be a honeymoon... It appears that  Southern Airlines is now thermally scanning all passengers boarding the LAX-CAN flight.

Congrats and good luck. Even though you won't read this.

Also, do not forget to send postcards to yourselves from each stop. They look great in scrapbooks.

^ We discovered this two trips ago.

Oh yea -- that's the other reason to avoid Geno's. The display of jingoistic crap displayed at his restaurant has shocked more than one foreign visitor who I showed around Philadelphia.

I just checked their menu, they're still calling fries Freedom Fries.

^ There's a lot of myth tossed around with that case.

Uh oh - it looks like canceling a reservation before it is ticketed is a bad thing... The record is showing up as "inactive" rather than "cancelled"...

EDIT: Just called CO.com support and the record was showing as canceled but not refunded. Lesson learned: Don't cancel a reservation online until after it has been ticketed.

Is it easy to get from the French side of SXM to the Dutch side? I'd like to do some spotting if we go there, but I think we'd stay on the French side of the island.

There is barely a pile of rocks and a flag on one of the roads at the border between the French and Dutch side -- you just keep right on trucking. Although there are some different laws and culture between the two sides (such as the AC plugs in hotel rooms), for transportation logistical purposes, the French and Dutch side are interchangeable.

For the aerogeek, an afternoon at the Sunset Bar and Grill is a requirement, along with a day trip to SBH dive bombing the mountain in front of the runway in a Cessna or Twin-Otter.

ETA: Here's a video of the approach into SBH from SXM http://www.stbarthcommuter.com/eng/movies/sbh.wmv

In this case, the PDA site never changed before and after departure. According to the PDA site, we were booked to 19, even though there were folks on the list and the cabin had all 20 seats taken.

At least the gf and I got our upgrades. :D

Let's not forget his teeth and hair transplant. :D Granted, the way she yells at him is awful, but *someone* has to take to take charge of 8 kids. He's certainly not. A laid back attitude is all well and nice, but when it comes right down to it, laid back doesn't get 10 loads of laundry done every day. Ever see that Little People show? Those people are slobs. Every item of clothing and piece of paper they own is on the floor. The kids throw garbage on the floor and think nothing of it. I'll take Kate's sense of order and cleanliness anyday. But she can definitely lose the side mullet.

I bet Jon would be willing to do it.:D

He should shave all sorts of parts on her. And she should do it back to him. And they should see where that leads them and all will be right again.
