No issue at all - I waited about 7 business days to make sure the free night had posted to my account. The agent had no problem booking a room at a Cat 6 property and even commented that she had received several calls related to the promotion.

Good to know. I'll probably call tomorrow or Thursday to get my first free weekend booked.

Did you actually end up sitting in your assigned exit row seat?

Even that agent knew that it would behove him not to get Claudio involved.

That is completely unacceptable. I hope you escalate this.

I would have demanded the seat back, especially considering that it was a ......... pro athlete who caused the situation.

The agents at BTR are notorious for this crap. I deal with it all the time. I'll reserve my exit row seat when I book the ticket for a flight out of there, check in online and confirm that seat, and show up at the airport to print a boarding pass only to find I'm in a non-exit row seat. So far this has happened 2-3 times since CO outsourced BTR's operations to AA Eagle. Fortunately every time I've been able to get my exit row seat back, but it's very annoying. The same agents used to have to be prodded repeatedly to upgrade elites on the lone 735 that was operating BTR-IAH until last August/September as well. F could be totally empty on that flight, and there would only be 5-6 elites on the upgrade standby list, and they'd lie and say "F is full" or "We don't upgrade here."

I think it's a bug with the location of one of the Madrid airports.

There's a similar bug with LBL (Liberal, Kansas). It was showing up on some of the maps in far southeastern Asia.

I was going to the gym 45 minutes ago. Then I realized if I went then I wouldn't be able to launch routes on AM as soon as my next plane is delivered. So here I sit, finishing catching up on The Box after not going on FT at all from around 4:00 PM Thursday until this morning. At least I'm not at a client site this week.

Who are those people? And why should I care about them? I'd never heard of Jon or Kate until they started showing up on a cousin's Facebook status recently, and then Saturday we saw them on the cover of a magazine in Target and my partner asked me if I knew who they were. And now they're in The Box. What's the deal?

I have no idea what any of this is about either. Based on what I've seen, I don't think I care.

Yes, but too often what I see is people who walking into my path after I've already looked, determined nobody was there, and started backing up.

As for the McDonald's coffee lady, please do read the link that was posted on that case. The fact is that McDonald's blatantly ignored hundreds of previous complaints of injury caused by the temperature it was serving its coffee at, which was 40-50 degrees hotter than coffee brewed at home, or served in other restaurants. Sure, holding the coffee between your legs on a car seat while opening it probably wasn't the safest thing. I'm not discounting the claimant's action here, but honestly, McDonald's knew that they were serving a hot beverage at an unsafe temperature, disregarded the safety issue that had been highlighted hundreds of times before by other customers who were injured by the temperature of their coffee, and chose to do this out of their own greed. They were responsible to a certain extent. There was no reason, other than not needing to brew fresh coffee quite as often (which could result in increased waste), to keep their coffee at that temperature. And, yes, the customer should know the coffee is very hot. But should the customer be expected to know, that, because of corporate mandate designed to protect profits, the restaurant is serving coffee at a temperature that is unsafe and 40% hotter than the coffee the customer is used to brewing at home, or purchasing in other restaurants?
