How "long limb-ed"? I'm 6'1" and find the legroom to be a little restrictive on some types. 1B is usually better than 1A as there is usually a cutout in the bulkhead. Regardless, you can almost always find me in 1A so I can look out the window and still get past my seatmate without disturbing them.

Not super long limb-ed. 6'1" like you, but being able to stretch out would be a +.

Yeah. I just don't get bulkheads. I find them very restrictive, even with the cut-outs.

Good to know. I think I'll stay in row 2. My wife would be fine in 1, but it might feel cramped to me.

It's usually bad batteries that causes the  in hotel remots. I had once had one acting up to the point of driviing me crazy I temp. swapped in the batteries from my camera and the remote worked fine afterwards.

I prefer no one reclining into me over the ability to fully stretch my legs out on any flight other than a red-eye where I'm planning on sleeping. I generally like more space up around my torso and head than at my feet. That puts me in 1 more than 2. That's on CO. On UA - particularly on the p.s. planes - the bulkhead in Y sucks so I skip it.

Yeah, that can be a PIA especially when a laptop is involved but I always seem to find a suitable workaround (I generally don't use the tray table when working on my laptop). What can I say, I like warm nuts.

I prefer the last row in F for the very reason that you prefer the first row. My pet peeve is when the jackhole behind me uses the back of my seat to hoist their arse up.

I'm resigned to the fact that seats are designed to recline and I deal with it (although I've been known to reach up and unrecline a seat when it's unoccupied). I hate being catapulted forward however. There's absolutely no reason for it. None. Zero. And if you're handicapped and absolutely need to do it (debatable) at least have the courtesy of telling the person whose seat you're grabbing back and violently shaking before you do it.

Use your own seat for leverage. The same way you do it when you're seated in the bulkhead.

I now have to go to Pennsyltucky to sit for the NJ teaching exam.

When one of those jackholes is grabbing on and hoisting, if you can react quickly enough and hit your recline button, sometimes he will just be dumped back into his own seat. At least he will momentarily be thrown off balance. After that, he will not touch your seat again. :D

Yeah, I should have asked but I wanted to see what I got via normal service.

The room was a little awkward because it was connected to two other hotel rooms via locked doors. The one door was right by the bed and I could hear the neighbors clearly.

Went to Mastro's Steakhouse yesterday in Southern CA. Was very good, I highly recommend.

I must have really bad luck then. I've even had battery issues in newly renovated hotels. Perhaps I need to start traveling with a pair of AAs. :)

For some reason, SQ is unable to see my Star Gold status. They have my BD number entered correctly (although, with only 1 leading zero) but no status. The agent said I should not have any problem as long as I carry my card, but it's a little strange....

I always go with the bulkhead in F on CO.

I so wanted to do that the other week (all three people behind me did it) but all their tugging on the seat put my seat into full recline so I kept it there. They are the ones who fully reclined my seat not me so I wasn't about to feel bad about them. Oh CO's seat not reclining as much as everyone elses does make it nicer not haveing a seat back and someones head on you lap.

I have the same bad luck too. I think the Lodgenet remotes come with really crappy batteries and the hotel replaces them with the same crap.

I do not think that any hotel replaces them until someone brings it down to the desk. Dead batteries is my first thought when it does not work and downstairs it goes for replacement.
