Here is an interesting conversation I had with the S/O today.

S/O: Find out what happened to that tv guy in Tampa on that Flyertalk you are always checking.

ME: Apparently, he was a passenger on the US Airways flight that landed in Tampa with the nose gear problem.

S/O: Oh, ok..

ME: You should join flyertalk. The Continental forum seems to have the nicest group of people. There is a lot of great info there about upgrades, cheap deals, ect. You would like it.

S/O: I don't need to join, that’s what I have you for :rolleyes:

Wish my new aircraft that are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow were here today.

What do you need? I have a large inventory, and very diverse. I love my Tu214's :D closest thing I can get to a 757 without a 757, and I am trying to avoid Boeing, I had to order a 767 because airbus and no one else makes anything in the same market, at this time on AM.

Did the old numbers have 1? I don't recall seeing that. My old number just had 1 leading zero.

The old numbers changed (only the first digit) depending on your status. I forget exactly what they were but I think it was something like:
0 = no status
1 = Gold
4 = Blue Plus
7 = Silver

Or something like that.

Flight departs in 9 hours for a 2 week vacation. Should I finally start packing?? :eek:

Yeah. I just don't get bulkheads. I find them very restrictive, even with the cut-outs.

I am starting to come around on that. I try for 2A now.

Sounds like the kind of conversation we might have at my house.

My fleet is pretty mixed — ATRs and Dash-8s for the props (newer planes are Dash-8s, the older ones are the ATRs), Fokker 28s for smaller jets, Fokker 100s and BAE-146-300s for 119-140 seat jets, a few DC-9-50s I picked up early on for the Hell of it, and then my bigger stuff is a mix of 752s, 762-ERs, and L-1011-500s. I also have a few 744s on order mainly for their range, to be used on a very small number of high density, long distance routes.

I just put the first load of laundry in the dryer for my trip that starts tomorrow. It's 6 days in LAS in July, so I have to take two weeks' worth of clothing. :rolleyes:

Who knew ATL-ABQ was such an expensive ticket for a roundtrip over a weekend in mid-July? Finally opted to use some OnePass miles for my partner's ticket, since it was the cheapest option with decent times. 50,000 miles for nonstop ATL-ABQ on DL in F, and return in Y on CO ABQ-IAH-ATL. The return is EasyPass :td:. But it was either that or shell out > $700 to buy a ticket that was at the times we needed. This also puts us on the same return flights, and arriving at ABQ within 10 minutes of each other.

But I'm still not happy about using those miles. :mad:

Look at it this way - how much would it have been to book an outbound flight with your partner confirmed in F?

Folks, I have a quick question that doesn't deserve a thread. Thinking about booking ORD-IAH-SJO. How can I get wife upgraded in advance? Miles, copay or what? I guess IAH-SJO will give me a comp upgrade? Or not?

Thanks

And yeah, the people that grab the seat in front of them to sit down are :rolleyes:.

On non-CO flights with the extra recline, a fully reclined seat in front can make it more difficult for people to stand straight up. Saying that, it seems many don't understand the concept of raising the armrests and sliding out or if you don't know how to raise the aisle arm rest you can press down on the aisle armrest and rotate your self out into the aisle and then stand upright fully .

I love watching passengers around me playing with the aisle arm rest when I raise it up.

Very true, and it was either the standard award in F, or the EasyPass award in Y for that segment, both for the same number of miles. Of course I opted for the standard F award.

Either there was just an earthquake here or something happened nearby ...

Only two weeks of clothing? Isn't it two daytime sets and one nighttime set = 18 days?
