DING DING DING!

You got it! And pretty darn close to the routing too. Five segments, and HRL is the destination on the outbound ticket, and origin on the return ticket.

Actual routing is LBB-DAL-AUS-HRL-HOU-ABQ. Change of planes at DAL, HRL, and HOU; AUS is a through stop on the DAL-HRL flight.

Will add one new airport to my FM (HRL, which is the only WN airport in Texas I haven't flown to), plus four new lines (DAL-AUS, AUS-HRL, HRL-HOU, HOU-ABQ).

Interesting. DL seems to only comp to Gold, so I might give the match a try with NW. I'm flying DL internationally in December and really just want ST Elite Plus for lounge access.

Did you email your info or fax it in? I want to make sure I send everything to NW and not DL.

He could be doing LBB-AUS-HOU-HRL-DAL-ELP-ABQ

Guess that answers my question concerning whether or not I should go for a NW Platinum comp.

If it does not count towards the once in a lifetime with DL, I think it's still worth matching to NW. Of course, I don't believe we have any confirmation that it doesn't count towards the once in a lifetime...

I was only interested in the comp if it was good until March 2011. I have no intent on crediting any DL or NW operated segments to any account other than CO between now and CO's exit from SkyTeam in October. I doubt I'll fly DL/NW enough in November and December to requalify for Platinum. I was only considering it to have as a backup to CO/UA for calendar year 2010. I don't expect we'd be living in Atlanta well into 2011, so to me it was probably only going to be worth having for 2010. I'll probably just pass on it.

Looks like that plane did EWR-LAS-CLE-IAH. Very strange indeed.

Very interesting routing. perhaps there was a conference in LAS that the plane was needed to fly extra people on. Sorry I dont know the passenger numbers on those planes so it could be simply the seats are about the exact same thus the change.

Trivia question of the day. First person to nail the correct answer gets a beer on me at the next Do we're both in attendance at.

ssullivan needs to fly LBB-ABQ. ssullivan has a WN Rapid Rewards ticket expiring soon he'd like to use. WN says "We don't have any standard award tickets available for a one way LBB-ABQ trip on your date, but you're welcome to redeem two one-way coupons for that trip on a Freedom Award. ssullivan says no way and researches other options. ssullivan gets creative with searching LBB-xxx and xxx-ABQ, where xxx is another WN city in Texas, and finds standard awards available in both directions.

So, how many flights did ssullivan manage to put together to fly one way LBB-ABQ on WN, all within the states of Texas and New Mexico? And how many different airports are involved?

Interesting! crazy how one tries to get to LBB! Once on a bump I had myself routed on CO IAH-ELP and on WN ELP-LBB but at the last minute CO opened up IAH-LBB so I took the direct as it was free. (long story)

Parents are here from the UK, and it can be quite  at times ..... :D Only three more weeks to go ....

Isn't  standard with any parental visit???? I try to have my parental visits at the IAH airport as they are under strict time limits but usually include a meal at Pappadeaux, Drinks at the PC, and an interesting pass through security!

Good Morning Box from awesome Seattle. Day 3 here and the weather has been great. Going to get car this AM and headed to Boeing for plant tour and then out to Port Angelous to visit friend. Then back to the SEA airport for the start of the real reason for the trip NRT in BF!!! Have a great day everyone!

I am a winnar! That's a crazy routing, but it would be kinda fun to do, especially if you're in 1D. :D

We visited SAT this weekend. I had been a few times when I was younger but don't really remember it. After this trip, I doubt I'll go back until I have kids and want to show them the Alamo.

Hello B:rolleyes:x.

I end my exile from metal tubes (not the internet ones) this Thursday and it can't  here soon enough.

I don't bother with row 1 on WN. It fills up immediately, and is overrated. Apparently many WN passengers have no idea that the exit row seats have even more leg room, and they just ignore them. I end up in the exit row about 90% of the time on WN, and that's often boarding in the 25-40 range.

And beer is on me!

I could have also done LBB-DAL and DAL-ABQ or LBB-HOU and HOU-ABQ as well. But those were too boring, and didn't add anything new. This gets me a few new (but short) lines and a new airport.

Besides, I had to do something to make this trip more fun, since the weekend trip my partner and I are doing to Santa Fe comes between two consecutive weeks of work in the not-so-lovely greater Portales/Clovis, NM metroplex.

I faxed it about a week and a half ago.

I understand. Your last sentence got me thinking - is it possible to decline a status match after it has been granted if you change your mind? I'm assuming, if you declined, that it would not count against your once in a lifetime?

How was your SPG experience?

AMF in NJ Jun 29, 2009 8:40 am

Quick box question: If I want to move seats to 1AB do I have to call it in? Two, for the long limb-ed, is it worth it? Currently in 2EF.
