I prefer to let my handler take care of such matters. It's uncouth to fly P.S. F without a handler.

When did rolov become your handler? :D

My PNR to FLL the other week was ASS2SZ. I figured the SZ are the initials of the person who keeps fielding my love-letters about Colgan.

:D

Sadly no p.s. routings as 3-class cabins are blocked from *UP fares.

But, it does allow the normal 4 transfers so MCO-IAD-SFO-LAX-SAN is valid. :)

I may need to take a look at this as I still need about 23k status miles to requalify for BD Gold in January. I wish they had more QUPs out of the NE so I could avoid the positioning costs...

Nonsense. We just use different handling agencies. :rolleyes:v uses handlers trained at the Pandy R. Finishing School in Luxembourg, and I use handlers from Academie Rolle Yes in Bern.

Still ~28K miles for ~2.2cpm. Not horrible, but after my last UA Q-Up and the annoyances of that trip I'm not so sure I'm up for another one.

And if the p.s. segment only books into C does that mean only 200% miles instead of 300%? That would be unfortunate.

Another reason to go to Hamburg. Neat, very German, I mean

Xyzzy was trying to convince me that was worth doing on my day trip there in April. I skipped it because the weather was nice and we wanted to be outside. Plus, I didn't really want to watch a bunch of model trains  around on tracks.

I'm sitting on 50K status miles right now. I need to get one of these in before the end of September, to take advantage of 600%.

I've gone on a SPG binge lately and have six stays lined up over the next two months. Thanks Box, you've made me an addict. :p

Now for my last stay I just have to decide if a club level room is worth the extra $40 for two people over 3 days or if I want to guarantee a city view. I'm leaning towards city view.

I watched the whole video, it's neat. Not only trains, but cars, boats, and people. They putting in a :rolleyes:port for 2009.

You may want to do the TPA-ONT run as it's a bit cheaper, but there are those pesky positioning costs. But, you can always find those nice deals down to FL on occasion.

Oh, my bad.

fozz Jun 23, 2009 8:02 am

This MCO-SAN fare is tempting but the TPA-ONT fare is still a better deal at almost $100 cheaper.

The only thing that would make it more lucrative is if you can route onto PS which I have yet to do with the TPA-ONT fare.

Positioning to Fla. from IAH isn't so bad, as WN keeps CO honest from HOU.

The Nines in PDX.

IIRC, they changed the fare rules right around the time :rolleyes:v and I flew it in PS. They probably ran the numbers, and noticed that two passengers drank more $$$ in mojitos than they paid in total fare.

I'm still laughing about the fact that, despite getting stranded at JFK due to irrops, UA refunded me about half of the total fare, even though I had already flown TPA-IAD-JFK-SFO-ONT-SFO-JFK.

I didn't realize that was still available. I will be down in PBI next week, so position costs would be much lower. What was the best available routing on that one?

sbm12 - should I take NK up to TPA? :p
