Good evening, Box! Back from MCI. FA on the flight back must have switched over from WN; she was telling all the corny WN "jokes" during the announcements. Moron in front of BL JR didn't want to take out his headphones despite several polite requests from the FA. I thought he was going to delay the flight but he finally relented after she said "Sir, I've asked you nicely". Same issue at landing (and also same issue with guy in front of me who could figure out how to recline his seat, but not put it up ). MCI's CO terminal is very blech. Now, to catch up on the box.

MCI is very bleth, like a smaller DFW and not nearly as user friendly.

MCI is a god awful crap-hole of an airport. I actually liked the city, but the airport just needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

I've never seen anyone talking to CLEAR representatives OR going through the line, and that's at ATL!

Thank god it's finally dead.

the only reality show I watch is The Amazing Race. Love it.

I have only watched a few episodes, but it looks cool. I would love to be on there. I am not willing to eat fried rats, bugs or anything else nasty!

I mentioned there was no P Club; which really upset her  so as we went through security, she told the TSA lady "Did you know there was no President's Club here? Why isn't there a President's Club?" The TSA lady just looked at me and I smiled :)

She's all of 5 and ripping on an airport for not having a PClub?

My first visit was due to an emergency landing - I thought we had landed at a bowling alley.

All opinions of John, Kate and their show aside, it's always sad to see a marriage end in divorce. Even more sad when so many small children are involved.

Agreed. While carnage is fun to watch sadly the kids are the ones who will pay for it in the end.

Yes the show turned out to be a trainwreck...I do have a heart and I do feel sorry for the kids, despite that they're set into their 20s. Divorce sucks, and thankfully my parents' split was not terrible for them (and great for me). But I do not feel sorry for them as a couple. She did this to him, IMO, and he held on as long as he could. She is evil and deserves to be treated as such.

If Jon and Kate were true adherents to the faith they espouse, divorce would not be an option. Believe whatever you want to believe, but if you believe in it publicly, guess what? Walk the walk. My $.02. <Shrug>

Just b:rolleyes::rolleyes:ked my B:rolleyes:ltBus tickets for $76 all in for 2 round trip to D.C. I will have to try Amtrak another time. There was just no way I would justify spending more than double to shave off an hour on the ride.

We are leaving on a Friday after work but won't arrive until 11:45 pm . We decided to leave Friday so we don't waste a good part of the day Saturday traveling down there. I have selected the Sheraton Crystal City for the Friday night at $69 and the Westin Arlington Gateway for Saturday night at $109. (hotel hop to earn another free weekend night ;) :D)

The hotel hop has not been fully disclosed as of yet  I am sure that will not go over well.

Anyone here have CLEAR? Not anymore. Can't imagine it lasted this long. They had a minimum of 3 people staffing that lane in ALB and I never saw anyone go through it.

I have it and love it. ^

They put in a Registered Traveler Lane at SDF where I work every month. From 4 to 6PM, the security line is backed up sometimes 100 deep. We just breeze through. :)

monitor Jun 22, 2009 9:15 pm

Now some pain. I just found out that Clear went out of business today. :(

Are there any other Registered Traveler programs?

The city has some great things about it. The Union Station museum was a huge ^

I've been to better bowling alley's (and that had a much better beer selection).

Yes, I know I'm in a lot of trouble. What is she going to do when she's traveling solo and can't access a PClub?

On the flight there, the FA asked her if she'd like a muffin and she said no, thanks, I'll wait for the full breakfast. I explained there was no full breakfast. She has spent entirely too much time in F! Another  RJ Sat., I can hardly wait (at least there are P Clubs at both airports, though not the one on the return; help us!)

I found decent scotch there - called my boss to let her know that she would be signing for a "breakfast" that was nothing but scotch, then explained the emergency landing.
