My partner almost fell off the barstool in our kitchen he's sitting on when I showed him the new NZ domestic safety video with the body paint, as well as the accompanying commercial, and behind the scenes making the commercial and safety video blooper videos. He wants to go to New Zealand now, and fly NZ. I won't argue with either of those suggestions. :D

I was disappointed that I flew a couple days too early to get a copy. :-:

If you aren't flying CO again this month, let me know and I can pick one up for you. I'll extend that offer to anyone else in The Box as well.

Just got off the phone with CO and was able to score a J award -- IAH-SFO on DL (CO had  availability), SFO-DXB-KWI, KWI-DXB-IAH. All am waiting on now is for EK to confirm, which they should, and then I'll be good to go. :)

Question on "Plan B"

HKG-EWR has no saverpass bf seats, but saverpass economy. If I do plan B, pay 60K miles for that segment and don't clear, do I receive 30K miles back, or am I charged 60K for an easypass economy seat?

The thought crossed my mind... :D

Unfortunately, this is the last flight to PBI today and everything to FLL/MIA is full.

The boarded us so it looks like we will go our fine. If not, I'll be hoping for an upgague to something with 20 seats up front as we are #1 and #2 on the upgrade list.

@ SFO, wish I was going to Mexico City, UA is offering $600 - oversold situation.

You get the 30k miles back -- the reason this happens is because you're in a saver Y seat afterall!

Also if you were going something like HKG-EWR-IAH and EWR-IAH was open in saver F (hahaha) you would still be eligible for the 30k back even if you flew F on the non-overwater segment.

I just love helping out UA. :)

Sitting in SJO and thank god for free wifi b/c we are 4 hours early and no P-Club. The honeymoon was wonderful with the exception of the typical  from 2xtree (in San Jose). I seriously dont know why I choose to pay a premium to stay with HH hotels anymore. Ill post more details later in a small trip report on where to stay, eat, and do in Jaco.

On another note I just booked a reward ticket on UA to burn up my remaining miles on them and got JFK-IAD-IAH on 12/24 and IAH-ORD-LGA-IAD-JFK on the return on the Sunday after Christmas. Im hoping for a bump somewhere along the way but cant believe they would fly me to LGA then onto IAD just to get to JFK.:D It makes me think UA's routing/booking desk is a bunch of FT'ers:cool:

Oh great, than I really have nothing to lose.
I am keeping the business class routing on the outbound (JFK-NRT-HKG) and I will take my chances on the HKG-EWR flight.

I wonder how many calls this will take
