At least I got the email saying that my waitlist upgrade IAH-GUM has confirmed. AUS-IAH and GUM-CNS got B-upped at purchase. :D^

Now just waiting for the return to do likewise.

The demand is for people with 5-7 years of experience to do design work. I've been project management for the past 11 years.

Guess you are in the position to have to 'dumb down' your resume if you want to even be considered for a remotely-suitable job. Hope that something comes along soon for you.:)

It's real hard to dumb down engineering and overall years of experience I'm afraid. I do now hate doing engineering which doesn't help. Teaching the stuff is fine but doing is something else.

Do any of the resident Box photographers have any 58mm or 67mm diameter lenses? I have not used my Hoya filter kits in many moons and would rather see them go to a known good home than on eBay.

Virgin's got nothing on CO....Ms. GadFly and I are headed to SAN for under $200 RT including taxes. With DEQM, it'll be over 10,000 hopefully with an EUA and a companion upgrade (but not holding my breath).

That is great -- have a good time!;)

4 weeks of pay and 3 months COBRA coverage. The 3 months COBRA coverage starts on July 1. At least they fired me on the 1st, so my health insurance stays until the end of the month. I'll probably go on my wife's insurance.

I need some ibuprofen. I have a delayed reaction headache to yesterday's events.:(

:rolleyes:There is something wrong w/the COBRA picture there. Were you a full-time employee & your company had more than 20 employees? If so, you are entitled to 18mths of COBRA, and as far as I know -- that is not usually negotiable. I appreciate that you are probably better off doing on your wife's insurance, on the family plan. But, you should look at the coverages & make sure.

Good luck!

I hear ya there! The worst would be to have a job where you are way over-qualified for & that the mgmt above you is less knowledgeable & better paid than you. A sure formula for serious resentment!
So, is there any other field that you're looking to pursue, job-wise?

I can definitely see how ALCO got hooked on making so many changes... :D

:D I am definitely under the impression that this is a uniquely-FT/B:rolleyes:X-related phenomena for those engaged in the honeymoon-planning phase! LOL!:D

I wonder how much they are losing today because of the inability to sign-in?

I don't even know where I want to go on my honeymoon.

I am the anti-FT'er. But 100%

I was only offered 90 days of COBRA after being laid off, and I'm nearly sure that my fiancee was too. I'm sure large enough businesses have a loophole that they exploit.
