Now I'm trying to decide "Hilton in ZRH" or "Park Hyatt Zurich"; given the choice, "Park Hyatt" usually wins ...

I thought the wage tax was assumed. Do you have to pay it - in the form of a commuter tax? I never did. My work was located in Bala.^ $52/year fee to Lower Merion is reasonable to me.:p

I was about to pull the trigger, but now I am debating whether it's worth it to travel for 34 hours to stay for 26 hours in ZRH.

I'll have to sleep on it...

I know. Once you go Upper Class you don't go back. :D

From what I hear DL's BE is not all that great, so I guess I won't be missing much.

I paid the commuter wage tax when I worked in Center City (it was more than I paid in state taxes). The township I work in has a wage tax, too, but it is considerably less than the Phila wage tax, and the township has neither the commercial base nor the concentration of high-priced real estate that Lower Merion has, so I guess they need to get their income somewhere.

The only other April-related poetry I can remember is the beginning of The Canterbury Tales, but I don't post here nearly enough to get away with the  of quoting in Middle English.
