All there is to do in DXB is hang out in hotels and go to the souks for a couple of hours. You can also go to the beach and watch overweight Brits in Speedos.

All so true. It was worth a visit - if anything it was an easy introduction to the Arab world.

Some great places to eat. I stayed at the Hilton Jumera (sp?) Beach and it has a great Italia place for dinner and a rooftop bar with a great view of the city

It was a chuckle watching them in DXB. How they swam in the Gulf was beyond me - it felt like a hot bath to me and not a clean one at that. I spent my time at the pool near the swim up bar.

well last time I drove by a large landfill on the turnpike in Florida people think that washers, dryers and fridges are disposable too, so I guess it really must be.
