Sweet. That may be what I decide to clean out my remaining BD miles for, as I transition to AY, or some other program.

I'd be very surprised if LH let people burn BD miles for any sort of premium cabin on the A380... :)

"Mr. Corleone is Johnny's godfather. To the Italian people, that is a very religious, sacred, close relationship."

My BD miles will likely be LH miles by then...

Also, there's always the strategy of booking a route that's likely to convert to A380 service before it actually does. JFK-FRA sounds like a likely candidate...

That is not possible.

Very cool indeed. I would be willing to give the A380 a go in Y. Does anyone know if LH has ordered the A380? I'm trying to think of *A carriers that will allow for premium cabin redemption on an A380 in the future. AFAIK, SQ charges a  premium for J on the A380 (and the 77W).

Cough EK now, cough.

Knowing LH, they'd shake you down for the extra miles during boarding. :)

This is becoming a very nasty trend among airlines. As SQ has probably figured out there is not enough demand to justify denying redemptions.

All of a sudden I have this burning desire to eat Italian food tonight. ;)

This goes back to the other day: if the seat can't be sold or if demand is that slack, open it up to rewards and at least give yourself a chance to reduce the liability by collecting miles instead of letting the seat fly empty.

With SQ miles
You can book the new Business class on all  equipped SQ aircraft

A380
A345
77W + soon retrofited 773 old school

SQ calls them Standard awards which require double miles .

They are running a a 50% discount for SFO-SIN and DME-IAH as well as some other routes.
JFK-FRA-SIN is still 747 for now so saver awards are still available ,
LAX-NRT-SIN is going to 77:rolleyes: so that will be double miles as well.

and no Suites reward at all .

Or maybe increase loyalty to a particular airline. Who would of though FF programs designed to increase brand loyalty.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
