AX MR is 1:1 with no bonus. And it only takes 2-3 days for the transfer to credit. Exterior security is a strange term. The exterior of the building is host country responsibility. Access to the inside is supposed to be at the discretion of the US guards, which are generally Marines. In other words, the gatehouse is usually Marines. That's been my experience. During my tenure in Budapest last year I stayed near the embassy, which was part of an apartment complex. My trained eye saw a LOT of passive defenses set up around the perimeter and there were a lot of plain and uniformed officers milling about the area. Some days it was blocked off, some days it was not. I did not, however, see any of the finely dressed embassy marines. rather disappointing actually. During the demonstrations I made damn sure I knew the shortest path to the embassy at all times. We had a ton of riot police around us, but things got out of control several times. |
