My whole house is vibrating right now. I haven't heard the frames on the walls rattle like this since I last watched the first Lord of the Rings movie on DVD.

Just found a decent source for affordable maps - stockmaps.com. They've got city-center details for ~$50 royalty free. That seems to be within my budget. And I just registered to have my own block of ISBN numbers. That is a racket if ever I've seen one. The good news is that I'm now inching closer to a travel publishing career. The bad news is that the costs mean no HNL turn first week of June. But I'll get over that.

Very cool! ^

I know you have tons of your own (excellent) photos, but let me know if you'd ever like to use one of mine in the course of this gig.

Yep. We're rooting for him. Once you discover that the Southern Hemisphere is full of Oompa Loompas and Unicorns, it's hard not to go back.

I know....!! I'm traveling there at the end of June for 10 days - can't wait!!

I have to wait a few weeks. I can't wait to ride a Dragon again. I also hope it rains Skittles while I'm there. :D

Yep. It's all done. Looks nice. The contractor said he had a run in with the other guy this morning at another project around the corner. After he said the the town told him to call the cops for harrasement he hasn't been seen since.

Things would have to be pretty messed up for that flight to be late into EWR (ie. some weather issue state-side), but then other flights would probably be delayed, as well. Good luck at the Braz. Consulate, fozz!

I was thinking more along the lines of random Brazilian ATC/airport worker strike or other such issue.

I'll extend the same off too if I have anything you want to use.

Flying  Monsters from Venus also infrequently disrupt aircraft navigation paths in the Southern Hemisphere.

Guess that's always a possibility -- but not one that I'd want to experience -- then he'd be potentially stranded there!

Hmmm...fortunately I've not experienced any of these incidences in my travels to S.A. -- at least not to date!

I'm wondering if there's an airport more dismal than GRU to be stuck in for a prolonged period without lounge access. At least when it has served out its useful life, they can convert it into a supermax prison with little effort.
