Isn't CO doing something with PPT out of GUM?

That would be some routing. EWR-IAH-HNL-GUM-PPT. I am not sure that would go over too well.

AA :td:

^ to the flashy lights! make them change hues and they'd be in business call it the 'no maintenance needed party express' and put it on flights to and from LAS.

fozz did you find The Girl from Ipamena?
Are you still in Rio? And did you go to the HELP disco?

I found many girls in Ipanema. :D

Sitting on my GRU-IAH flight right now. GIG was a blast and yes, we did go to HELP. That was interesting. And, no, we didn't engage with any of the women there.

It's nice to know that HELP hasn't changed. ;) :D Glad you had a good time. I've been there twice and loved it both times. Well, except for the time I was wearing orange shorts, only to discover that is what the garbage men wear.

Box people. If you plan on being at the Shogun pregame on the 30th, may you PM me so that I can get you directions. I'll repeat this message every few days.

Edit: Also mention what part of the state or other state you will be coming from.

Good thing you didn't 'engage' any of the Ipanema chicks, as they most probably would've been interested in coming home to US w/you!

The guys took one look at me and started laughing. :D
Those shorts were in the trash for them to pick up the next day.

You can purchase their "favors" for US currency. One of my traveling companions learned this lesson the hard way. When he told us he was going to a hotel with one of his dance partners, we took his wallet just incase and he ended up losing his watch.

Hello Box!

Well, I did it - survived my first mileage run! No drama; everything stayed on schedule (actually, that's not true, 3/3 of the domestic legs left late, but luckily I had enough connection time that it wasn't an issue), and it was actually kind of relaxing and fun! I got a lot of work done and possibly slept more than I had in a week.

I only had to "explain myself" once, to a very nice but confused GA in Frankfurt who was like "but...you just came in on this flight...". US Customs was no problem at all.

Alas, I had intended to make a ceremonial post von Deutschland, but ended up (after doing bathroom, re-check in, quick walking tour of the terminal, security, etc.) only having <15 minutes to sit at the gate and get online...just enough to skype-call tjtenor4 in Chicago and wake him up at 4 am :)

Anyway, thank you all for your advice, answering of questions, and good wishes! As I said, it was surprisingly enjoyable (23 hours in Y, and I survived!) - which is good, since I'm doing about 50% of that again on Saturday...

Also, can't wait for Shiny Metal #1 when the miles post (even before the DEQM) in a couple of days! :D

Congrats!!

Glad to see that you got to take advantage of many of the benefits that MR'ing have to offer. And now that you have the shiny card your future trips run the risk of being able to do all that in the big comfy seat with the open bar. That's when trouble really starts. :D
