In other news, I checked my sister in for her return flight to IAH and was offered a $150 buy up to F on CO 335 tomorrow. My sister declined since I snagged 6E and 6F for her and her friend. I checked her friend in after my sister and was not offered the paid upgrade option. Seat maps did not change between the transactions. Funny how things go sometimes.

Actually, DL for at least the past few years has already has had an informal fourth tier that had a formal invitation to membership. It is called the "Executive Partner" and invitations go out about at the time that other credentials do. Since the invitation comes in a white envelope, it is variously referred to as "EP," "envelope" or "white envelope" status.

The criteria for membership are not announced and this year I was thinking that I might very well be invited. But I was not even though I believe that I fly as much and provide as much revenue as some of the others who are white envelopes.

I know there is a full moon out there somewhere. Crazy night at work. A lovely woman was removed from the redeye EWR flight. Let's just say she got a bit unhinged. We managed to get her quiet and calmed down but when she shoved a customer out of her way to get to her seat, the FSM got unhinged and off the plane she came. All over the fact she had to gate check her rollerboard.

On the flip side, we also had a great laugh over AirTran's boarding annoucement. They don't board by seats numbers, they board by Joans. I have never heard Zones pronounced quite that way before.

If they're a problem on the ground, they're going to be a bigger problem in the air, and it doesn't take much to convince the captain or an agent that they are a threat to the safe operation of an aircraft :)

Operation "Fozz Goes to the Southern Hemisphere" is complete.

NZ no longer flies to PPT on their metal, they used to run LAX-PPT on a 763, which was not too bad in coach. Now they codeshare everything with TN, even from AKL.

Hawaiian flyes HNL-PPT and i Believe LAN is the only other carrier, no NH.

Buying a gate can be easily reversed for only the cost of the gate. As long as you don't put any flights into said mistake gate, go to View Gates and return it.
