I was thoroughly unimpressed in looking at African cities. CAI was the only one I even considered and there isn't enough within the 1200nm range for me to want to make a go of it (in 3rd world). I'm looking in that region for my next base of operations, but it won't be CAI.

Oh, and Delta cut the prices of Shuttle walk-up fares by half today. :eek:

Indeed. The Shuttle used to have some prestige associated with it. Now it is just another route that DL is hemorrhaging money on.

I think in Third World, success is measured more by eccentricity of fleet and routes than by actual profitability. I'm loving my extensive domestic Iranian network. :D

My question is this: which airline created the case of pecker envy that DL seems to have? They're, at least to me, looking like they are hell-bent on being the new global airline, but they have to realize at some point (probably not until the bankruptcy court judge tells them) that there are certain places on the planet that just don't justify air service, even if it's from JFK or ATL. Gothenburg, Sweden? Really? Come on now.
