Hmmm... SPG promo period conflicts with my HHonors offer. They offered to re-up me for HH Gold if I complete four stays between May 1 & July 31. I guess another two years of HH Gold are more important than two free weekend nights.

More than likely he did have a suite on.

It's kind of like the guy we saw on the train to ORD. He was clearly drunk and stayed on the Blue Line after it had pulled into airport, I wondered why, and as I looked over, he was passed out.

Same problem here but I will be taking the SPG deal. My offer from HH was a fast track to Diamond on seven stays or 15 nights between May 1 and July 31 and I could do that easily (ten nights would be on the books before the end of May), but unless I get some input to the contrary around here, I will not change my stay habits.

I've only done it once, but it was at the end of the night, and I made it in to all three trash cans on the platform. :cool:

Apparently I was also begging my wife (gf at the time) to just leave me on the train to sleep it off. :eek:

I wish HH would extend the same offer until July 31. I need 3 more stays by the end of May to get the gold in the offer. Not going to happen :(

Back in January they offered me six stays by the end of April to retain Gold, and I didn't bite, as I wanted the SPG night after night promo more. 4 stays between May 1 and July 31 seems very reasonable for keeping HH Gold until 04/11. I already had planned to use Hilton for two stays in MSY for The Significant Otter's graduation (as I wanted to pad my BA balance with double-dip). Just need to squeeze in two more before the end of July. Will probably just do a mattress run here in town and not even bother staying at the hotels.

HH has these offers all the time. They are nothing new or out of the ordinary.

I love Starpicks rates. Just shaved several $100 off the cost of my stays this weekend in TPA & ONT.

That's what I love about them. HH is an excellent back-up program to SPG, and I'm perfectly content with the Gold benefits. No way would I aim for 16 stays to retain it, but I'll definitely spring for 4.
