And I don't understand the part about used and new bags. All of the bags that Franny or I bought there (and there have been a couple of dozen) were patently new when I took them out of the place. On many of them I was unable even to find the second.

It's quite simple. Yesterday we found bags that had quite obviously been used. These included a bag with a boarding pass and other papers in one of the pockets and a bag with worn wheels and scratches from where it had been dragged up stairs/escalators.

I guess that they are now adding these to the mix. I will keep a lookout for this sort of bag next time I go to Travelpro.

I see that the Mod Do is on lunch break. We have chrissxb posting over in the St. Malo thread and I know where he is because I dropped him there this AM.

Most of the bags they had at Travelpro yesterday were from the Walkabout 2 series.

$22.95 a day (currently rented for 2 days - depends on how ealry I get up after work tonight)

$60 all into the rental car company (2 Day rental and taxes).

I wish they had smiled on me today. Although I have a few more flights yet, the next one going weight-restricted would be my best chance. To wit - my final flight of the day has a ridiculous 13 seats remaining in F (must be the definition of an "elite-light" route).
