In related news 1/1600 is just not a fast enough shutter for this kind of work.

I assumed 27L was the intent - I don't know where any of the spotting areas are, however.

Speaking of not ordinary operations - crosswind takeoffs that were slightly with the direction of the AC at DTW yesterday ...

Negative, I am at the nw corner of atl

What are you having trouble getting at 1/1600?

Planes, at this range I probably need 1/2000.

You're at 8L/8R or 26R/26L, the former if approaches are from the west (most common).

Are you trying to blur the background?

rkkwan, are your 763ER's still potentially for sale?

ETA: The Detroit-based fleet of 735's will soon be going for sale one by one. DTW's growth as a hub has pleased DelNorTalia Aeroline executives to the point that they are upgauging all North American operations out of DTW to the larger 737-400.

It has been in the mid-to-upper 80's this weekend and sunny. We now have all our spring stuff that usually takes until June - done!!!

Now we can relax and enjoy the rest of spring here on America's North Coast :)

Putting down a dog just sucks, even though it is usually for the better....

RIP Rocky, you were a great buddy and a ton of fun!

Yeah, I just wish we had a bit more time to say goodbye. He was older, but this was a sudden issue (tumor on spleen ruptured). He struggled to keep going until we came home from a short road trip....Ugghh!

Tequila time!

Its tough to comment on this, the possiblity of a misunderstanding is very high when emotions are so fresh.

I am just going to say that I understand and that I believe that some lucky dogs have a more dignified ending than many of us humans.

May your dog rest in peace and may you always remember him.

Nah. I'm going to keep them. I was thinking about trading the 763s for UniCon's 762ER. But they're long gone.
