Devils down 1-0 after 1. Sorry to hear MBM3 - I've had to put down both dogs I owned and was around when my fiancee had to put hers down. The dogs are family members and sometimes losing a dog is worse than losing a person. :( |

Putting down a dog just sucks, even though it is usually for the better....

Whoever these high school pipdqueaks are that are impersonating the Devils are really stinking up the joint...you would think it's a round disc of poo on the ice instead of a puck. |
Sorry to hear about your dog, MBM3 :(
MR Abort in progress. Our E-Jet JFK-IAD was seriously delayed, meaning no possibility of TPA tonight. Upon arrival in JFK this evening, spoke with GA, who offered JFK-RSW on DL (got in after Midnight), Next Day JFK-IAD-TPA (wouldn't get me back to IAH in time), or partial refund of remaining value of ticket. Surprisingly, the remaining value of the ticket was > $250... this after we had already flown TPA-IAD-JFK-SFO-ONT-SFO-JFK, with two PS F segments already flown. Score! :D TPA Sheraton Suites agreed to cancel and refund prepaid reservation, and am now waiting at Penn Station Club Acela lounge for a trip down to Philly for a 05:35am departure to IAH. UA Fail has gone from  to  to Meh. It's a wash, I guess. |

Apparently, due to a train breakdown near Penn Station, there have been 5+ hour delays on Amtrak tonight. I was originally scheduled for a 09:05pm departure, which now doesn't look like it will leave until around 02:00am. However, it was just announced in the Acela Lounge that all of us heading south towards Philly/D.C. are being placed on a train leaving in 10 mins, and that they brought it in specially for us. Boarding will not be announced in the station, and all persons in the Club Acela Lounge just received special stamps on their tickets that will allow us to board this train. The attendant will call us for private boarding (unannounced elsewhere) in about 10 mins. There is quite a mob in the common areas of Penn Station at the moment. I'm pretty sure they would tear us to shreds if they knew what was going down. I've never been happier to have a President's Club Card in my life. Thanks, Amtrak. :D

Yeah, I just wish we had a bit more time to say goodbye. He was older, but this was a sudden issue (tumor on spleen ruptured). He struggled to keep going until we came home from a short road trip....Ugghh!
Tequila time! |
