I had to go pick up my fiancee at Borgata Saturday night (I had dropped her off, so it only follows that I should pick her up) and just from driving south on the Parkway I was reminded of the multitudes of :rolleyes: that I don't miss about being in the casinos. Two Benzes were doing about 110 weaving in and out of traffic - guess what state the plates were from - with the windows down...white garments and spray tan were being ejected into the slipstream. Then, at the rest area before the Expressway, I saw the stereotypical party bus pulled over with everyone out on the grass...you knew that this was the group that in another life would have walked up to me and said:

Him: "Yeah, boss, how you doon, how you doon...we, uh, comin f**kin' down here for my boy's birfday, and like f**kin' none of the restaurants in this f**kin' place had a f**kin' table fer us, ya know, boss? An I f**kin' play, you axe anyone in dere."

Me: "How many in your party, and when did you try to make reservations?"

Him: "We got like between 20 and 26 people, and ain't got a reservation. My buddy was supposed to call and get the table, and he never f**kin' did. F**ing a**hole has one ting to do and he don't f**kin' do it, you unnastan?"

Buddy: "Hey, f**k you, Vito. It's Atlantic Shi**y. I didn't tink we'd need no fuc**in' reservation. Now we'll see what...<looks at suit lapel>...Michael!!! here can do fuh us. C'mah, Michael, we know you got pull."

LOL. Yeah, I dealt with way too many of those to the point I can do a longer version of that exchange as a one-man show. I can switch between the accent and my real voice at will and play both sides of it, complete with facial expressions. My fiancee thinks the characters in my head are hilarious...I have the ignorant New Yorker party guy like above, and I also do the stereotypical Southern twang guy who just doesn't get it. In my backwoods locale, I have run across some twang-enabled folk, despite that they were born and (in)bred in New Jersey. I pretty much have both accents nailed and can go on in them for minutes on end.

The German government is apparently cracking down on travel to/from Mexico and is screening more closely. I'm sure this will make the run to FRA that much more fun.

I'm just going to make the trip in a full bio-hazard suit to protect myself from the swine flu (they really should have called this thing the "pig flu" - it has a much better ring to it!). Perhaps they'll just wave me through the extra checks.

If you know a good shrink that can help me repress the memories that I would need to activate to do such project, I would think about it.

I need help from the DEQM masters here.....500 mile minimum postings...is DEQM making this 1000 or only actual miles flown getting the magic 2x? I am doing a segment run-ish so miles don't mean a world to me there, but hey its worth asking.
