It's my understanding that if multiple vendors make a credit inquiry for the same service they all get glumped into one "request" as it's reasonable to expect consumers to shop around for financing. And, responsible consumers (which is what FICO is all about, right) especially do this.

Of course it's FICO and credit reporting we're talking about, so it undoubtedly is also influenced by the moon cycle, the presence of chicken in your freezer, the dutch kroner, farm-animal flu's, and :rolleyes:.

Thank you for the info!

I'm assuming that the car dealership will have to request in regards to the same loan amounts to make it the same "service".

Yes and yes. I too gave all three a fair shot. MSNBC and CNN bothered me a level that transcends their obvious bias...their product just plain sucks. FNC sucks a little less and save for Kyra Phillips at CNN, FNC has the edge in being easy on the eyes.

The tough part for me to swallow is that I've noticed over the last 10 years or so that the Left (in all respects, not just news...and by "the Left", I don't mean average people who lean that way...the media Left) has seemed to take the tack of slamming a particular book or author or whatever just because it or they are anathema to their beliefs, and they don't bother to build an argument against the points stated in whatever it is that incenses them. Liberal anti-gun groups are famous for this: they'll issue a press release condemning a piece of legislation or a book or someone else's comments, and then when some brave member of society who does not march to that drummer calls that organization and asks if they read the book or watched the speech, etc. - voila...a call that goes unreturned.

CM, I think you are in the wrong state. I'm sure Texas will welcome you with open arms. I am sure that Gov. Perry will make you his personal concierge.;)

I noticed the hysteria when I woke up from my nap and the White House briefing was on and MSNBC was flipping out because Obama just came back from Mexico and was with someone who has since passed away that must mean 100% that Obama got to have piggy-flu and is the sole source of all piggy-flu in this country. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I never thought I'd see the day when I said FNC was the voice of reason on this. (I'm sure they will do something by 9PM to change my mind back)

MSNBC:Obama :: Catholics:Pope. Hence why they're freaking out.

We're looking at a Civic or Insight. We need an "around town" car and both of those fit the bill.

The Insight is getting some good reviews so far. My wife has a Civic, and, even though it is a 2004 model, we're still very happy w/ it. A friend has the current generation Civic (2007 model), and he is still thrilled with it like he was when he drove it off lot. Good choices, you have there!^

GL w/ the financing.
