Our credit union approved us for a rate that I'm not too happy with (has nothing to do with credit and everything to do with their going rates) and want to see what the dealership would offer. Since the credit union has already done a credit report, does it look bad if the dealership does the same thing?

I do not think so as many people car shop at different places. Our dealer is giving 0% to returning customers at the moment, and that is a tough one to beat! (VW)

It's my understanding that if multiple vendors make a credit inquiry for the same service they all get glumped into one "request" as it's reasonable to expect consumers to shop around for financing. And, responsible consumers (which is what FICO is all about, right) especially do this.

Of course it's FICO and credit reporting we're talking about, so it undoubtedly is also influenced by the moon cycle, the presence of chicken in your freezer, the dutch kroner, farm-animal flu's, and .

Is it anywhere close to advisable to fly NYC-MXP and then try to get to LIN for an intra-Italy flght? AZ.com says that is one of my options...I know, that's why they're AZ.

It looks survivable. With the new Itin, the trip will now involve graduated steps up in long-haul seat comfort. CZ to new KE 773 Seat to KQ Fully-Flat J Seat to EK New Flat J.

I'm glad I paid attention to your Amtrak discussions. It paid off last night when the Club Acela attendant was able to get me onto one of the first trains of the night leaving Penn Station after serious delays.

IIRC, there is an express bus service linking MXP and LIN. I couldn't hazard a guess as to how "express" it truly is, as Milan traffic can be terrible.

cruisr's son told me how bad Milan traffic can be. I'm being Faux Mom today and trying to get a client to PMO tomorrow. He just came in the office about 20 minutes ago. The AZ-esque Air One flights from EWR are sold out, so I'm stuck pushing him to JFK...

I would take il treno into Milano then take the LIN bus from the train station.

When I was there, all the rail employees were on strike, so it was not an option.
