Wherever I go, I try to use and sample mostly local products. Here in Dublin, I've decided that, for my morning libations, I should have only Irish Coffee (to keep it local, as I said...) What a wonderful day to start the day! But just in case, I never have more than two pots...

I think I mentioned it's easy to spend a few hours there watching, even with the fairly oppressive temperatures. ;)

The second floor observation deck has seats and it shaded. Plus the snack bar just below sells cerveza. :D

fozz and I were just treated to an impromptu fireworks show out our hotel window. My initial reaction to the loud bang and bright flash was "they aren't shooting at us, are they?" fozz foolishly walked over to the large windows to check. :D

Yes, they really did just set up shop in the median of the road and launch from there.

That sounds like a good time. Though I did enjoy some mirth at the mental picture of fozz sheepishly walking over to the window.

I can hear the thunderstorms over Manhattan out of my window. Sunday evening at the airports might be rather interesting.

My friend came in to NYC this weekend and left this afternoon to go LGA-CLE-PIT. His CLE-PIT flight was canceled due to maintenance. We found out while waiting in the P-Club and immediately went to the desk. My offer was to have him fly out tomorrow morning if they would provide a car service for him tomorrow to LGA. They rejected the offer and said he MUST fly out on the LGA-CLE flight since it was not affected and CO will put him in a hotel in CLE. After I left he called me and said the flight is oversold and they offered 4 - $300 vouchers. Since I had already left he didn't take it as he doesn't fly or travel much and it would have been a hassle for me to go back and get him.

The point of this story is that CO could have paid $20 for a car service tomorrow morning and saved $XXX on the Marriott hotel they put him in and would have only had to give out 3 - $300 vouchers but they refused. This just doesn't make good business sense to me

We had hail the size of olives in the western suburbs of Philly (about 10 miles due north of the airport). My children were impressed.

Mike what's the under/over on Tiger winning this tournament?

The Devils, despite Brodeur, do not do the Canadian anthem. I think the last time I heard it at a regular season game was in ATL this past October.

Tiger is nearly unbeaten with a 54-hole lead. That's my answer. Odds of a win are quite good.

With those names, I'd assume you have fond memories of Larry Robinson patrolling the backline.

I watched as he learned how to play great hockey from Serge Savard and then became better than his teacher.

We were in NYC for dinner this evening. What a light show on the way home!

Where do people suggest staying when in PTY?
