after three years of allergy shots, my needle phobia went away.

1400 feet up and 630 yards out...I wonder if the elevation makes the distance doable.

I can't even watch that. I felt a little light headed after just reading the description. :p

I need to get longer off the tee then. I'm only about 240-ish when I catch the ball clean.

Morning Box.
Obama ripped on Europeans today for blaming us for everything that's wronge with the world. Nice.^ And a big boo to MSNBC for hiring Ed Shultz. |

Looking ahead, though, I do really like the Honda Fit. Unfortunately, the only place I know that rents them in large quantities is the SJU Hertz.
well alas Hyundai has no incentives on that Genesis Coupe-save for leasing. Never leased a car, don't think I'm likely to start. Heck, for that matter I've never had a car payment. Really not sure how many miles I might drive in a year- The last yob I had kept me on the road 300+ nights\year. The new yob has travel but not quite that heavy and my territory is South\East US that might involve some driving. Would hate to blow a lease mileage out of the water |

The video said it equates to a 300 yd shot. I piety anyone who shanks their shot, they will be looking for days.
* I'm a horrendous ball striker with woods now - too inconsistent to pair clubs anymore.

They swear up and down it hurts less than a needle stick. Protocol is to push lidocane in advance of pushing something else to dull the nerves. Apparently that's when the painful process starts. |

That was my immediate thought - can you imagine (with gear effect) the ball appearing to go sideways about 20 seconds into the 30 second drop? If I took the shot, I wouldn't be imagining ...
* I'm a horrendous ball striker with woods now - too inconsistent to pair clubs anymore. I can barely cover that now if extremely lucky; my accuracy in hitting fairways is absolutely horrendous given the amount I play in my current job (effectively none). I'd have a better (snowball's) chance of carrying a driving iron that far. I know you can toss a few blades of grass to check the wind, but are you allowed to ask for a weather balloon to be released from the green before your shot? |

Yes. I sat in the mini-cabin, but I found it to be freezing cold. Nice and quiet, but that's probably because everyone was in a state of suspended animation given the cold.

In college I had a 1992 Ford Bronco. Since I went to school in the Panhandle and lived there during the summers owning a huge SUV was not a big deal and actually helped when it flooded (any time it rained). I loved the thing and never thought I would get rid of it.

For the record, Camrys are built in Kentucky. Subaru builds the majority of their cars for the US in West Lafayette, Indiana. My wife's Civic was made in Canadia. A few years ago I had a disagreement with a friend of mine. He said he had an American car. I said, not really. Your Chrysler PT Cruiser is hecho en Mexico, with the profits flowing to Deutschland, as Chrysler was owned by Daimler. He became depressed after I proved to him that I was speaking the truth. Even the new American icon, Camaro is not American as it is built in Canadia.
Did anyone know the Saturn Vue has a Honda engine?

I'm a true needle-phobe. Unless I have been near-incapacitated by some fatal disease, no hypodermic is getting anywhere near me.

+1! ^
I can't tell you how many times I volunteered to be leukophoresed (with a large-bore needle in both arms) for $100 back in the day. The worst was volunteering for a bronchoscopy study. Now THAT was not worth $100!!! |

Checking the wind speed and direction wouldn't help me while holding a driver. I'm supposed to try to "knock down" a shot from a quarter mile elevation? ;)

Not a bad spot to start a safari from. However, I'm more interested in getting back to South Africa. Will be staying near Hermanus on the Western Cape this time. It's close to the whale watching and wineries, and most importantly, the penguins. :D
probably a better spot for a safari, but i am biased. Oh, boy I can't stop posting like :rolleyes:v . My mom told me I might freeze like that if I kept doing it. |
