I don't think it is an issue, per se, but it isn't phenomenally cost effective. There are definitely some cheap DUB fares ex-USA out there, but tagging them together might prove difficult. Best I'm finding easily are in the $400 range, which isn't very good at all.

$380 all in PHL-DUB for 11.8k EQM if you route it properly. Why not nest the DUB-DCA fare inside of that :p

That is so tempting. I wonder how much it would cost to get there on UA... off to ITA.

I can't believe I never managed to make it to DUB when I lived in Europe. Perhaps I subconsciously avoided the home of Ryanair and Aer Lingus. What are the odds against two stupendously crappy airlines sharing the same airport as a base?

While the airport may be home to two crappy carriers, it's not a terrible airport. A bit of a dump, but nothing too bad and the onsite US passport control is weird, but convenient when you get back and have to skip the lines at EWR. :D

Think of how you're going to AMS in a few weeks.

That is what I figured.

Fiancee and I won a 3-day/2-night all-inclusive thing at the bridal show we went to. If I could convince her to go to SEA for 48 hours, I wonder how much of a stretch HNL would be. Most interesting of the choices are LAS, CUN, ACA, HNL, PVR, MZT, and SXM.

Congrats on that! I am guessing HNL would be a stretch. You need to ease her into this, Mike!

Are there any current Onepass promotions for referring a friend?

I actually do not mind Aer Lingus within the EU, especially using their ORK minihub. Flying Ryanair once in 1990 was enough for me!

Dublin is a lot of fun - you would love it.
