Hey, everyone! No time to catch up on 20+ pages of the Box yet again. One of these days I'll have free time again and will manage to stick around for a while and make useless contributions in this lair of depravity yet again. But if anyone is around IAH between 5:30 and 9 tonight - I'll be in the E club (except while I sneak out to Papadeux's), before I head to EZE. Stop on by! Cheers!

I added all of my weekend flights last night. ^

I added all my flights from last Sunday and yesterday last night. I could have sworn I added last Sunday's flights last week, but i got a big fat  so i'm guessing not.

I might see you there tonight — I'll be transiting IAH this evening. Just depends on which terminal I arrive at, as I'll be coming in from ATL and heading out to BTR, which will definitely be from B.

Is anyone being tempted by the DUB fare?

DUB-EWR-IAH-DCA-IAH-EWR-LHR sounds pretty tempting at around $200. That may even be a better deal than the BWI-SEA runs. :)

EWR-LIM departs at 02:50pm, so perhaps there will be time for  before then.

Definitely better on a CPM basis, but the positioning costs are a bit higher. :(

Getting to DUB to start it all is the real issue. I see sbm12 beat me to that. I only just started on coffee number 2.

Very tempting, but doubt I'll be able to take advantage. I'm trying to find a way to work in another ONT fare before my BD Gold year expires.

Touche. I wonder if the $238 DL JFK-DUB fare is still around, that would make it somewhat worthwhile. Or, gasp, maybe even redeeming 50k miles for an award.

Is that fare still around? I may need to make another run.

Does the box have any opinions on buying BD miles? I was thinking of buying the 24k miles to have enough for a F redemption before the rates go up. Thoughts?

I don't think it is an issue, per se, but it isn't phenomenally cost effective. There are definitely some cheap DUB fares ex-USA out there, but tagging them together might prove difficult. Best I'm finding easily are in the $400 range, which isn't very good at all.

That's alot of time. Pearl Harbor is just around the corner from the airport, if that's something you want to see. The Navy runs free shuttles from the dock to the Memorial. I'm sure the airport has a Vistor's Booth where you can get more information about the times and how to get there using public transportation or just catch a taxi.

You should go into Waikiki just to see the beach and Diamond Head. Plenty of places to eat. Ala Moana Shopping Center is on the way if you want to go some shopping or eat at the food court. I don't think you will have time to go around the island, don't worry about seeing that part because it's just more beaches-nothing special. The famous North Shore (surfing) is interesting but unless you are with a local person you really can't find the surfing places since they aren't marked.

They capped the limit of miles you can buy right before they announced the mileage increase
