It is only fit that my post #8000 should be in the Box. It only took me more than ten years. It would have been much faster if the Box had been around a bit longer. |

Simply a two pound slab of lucite with FlyerTalk tags from all over world and from every meet or DO to which he has been transported. It is only fit that my post #8000 should be in the Box. Need the Box's help w/ printer ink. We bought a new HP Photosmart C6380 on black Friday. Got a great deal. $116 shipped from B&H. Now, it's going to cost us. It already needs black ink. Not photo black ink, which is separate, but black ink. We didn't think we used our printer that much, but the ink is already out. Any suggestions on where to buy ink online? I don't care about manufactured ink or new OEM, just as long as the price is reasonable (and snag some OP miles as well). Thanks for any links.

I ended up skipping the box :o when I was in Paris, but it sounds like sbm12 had some good posts about NRT. Now I'm tempted to go back in time and catchup. :p:rolleyes:

CO has a program for advising the GA (gate agent) that you are interested in volunteering to take the bump on overbooked flights. Once a flight is determined to be in an overbooked situation, this OverSale Management Program kicks in, at the T-24 hour mark, and you will be asked if you wish to volunteer at check-in. If you say yes, your name will be placed on a list.
That being said, most GAs might not look at the list. I know I rarely do since I prefer to make gate area annoucements for volunteers. The reason I do this is because I want to make sure that I announce all of the terms of the bump. Plus I need to hold onto each volunteers boarding pass, to make sure that they do not board when boarding begins incase I need to use their seats. I also want to make sure (again) that they understand what they are getting into and what they want, in terms of a later flight. Sometimes I discover that I can not use certain volunteers because of their final destination. Anyway, to make a long story shorter: If you want to volunteer, RUN, don't wait until the annoucements begin, to volunteer with the GA. As far as playing let's make a deal, sometimes this can backfire with a GA, unless you are advising the GA that the dollar amount isn't big enough for you to take the bump but you will take it for X dollars. Just remember that the routes with the most flights to will not get top dollar since we can put you onto the next flight within 1-2 hours. I often will not up my price but what I will do is give you lots of rebooking options. Let's say the next flight is in 2 hours but you really want to spend 2 more days in the current city, I will do that for you at no extra cost. Sometimes if you ask to not take the money but get an upgrade to Fclass, that can be done if seats are available. I had a gentleman that took a bump, not to long ago, and he refused the voucher because any vouchers had to be returned to his company but he did ask for the Fclass seat instead. I said fine, we had the space and it cost me/CO nothing. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks, sfogate. I'm thinking my 9:35am flight from IAH-HNL might be oversold for tomorrow, and wouldn't mind taking a bump to the later flight. I'll inquire of the GA when I arrive in IAH from EWR. How would I know if a flight is oversold. the only reason I am thinking it is is because all the seats are "occupied" on the seat map, but of course I know that isn't necessarily an accurate representation of whether the flight is oversold or not. Also if a flight is oversold, will they bump passengers up into BF before offering payment, or will they fly with empty BF seats? |

The 6380 has 2 black ink cartridges available, the HP564 (about 250 pages) and the HP564XL (about 800 pages @ $25.00) Be careful of cheap refills that void your warrantee Just Google HP564 and HP 564XL and research away. |
