For any of the box folk that are T-mobile customers. If you haven't heard, they've launched an unlimited minutes plan for $49.99. You have to be a customer for at least 22 months, but it's a heck of a deal.

I heard about this but I can't figure out how to find it on the T-Mobile web site. I logged into my account but can not find it. I've been a customer of theirs for several multiples of 22 months. I've got four lines on our current plan and this sounds like it might be a good fit for us -- if I can figure out how it's going to cost...

Besides that it is mostly RCC .

I saw that, it looks like the only way to get there is on the shuttle bus routing through the AA regional terminal. I may have to meet a friend coming off a NW flight.

What about the *A lounge in TBIT?

I had lunch today in Louisville with jfe, who lives in ELP and has an office in Juarez. He says that despite the problems in Juarez which are so severe that he does not think that even the army can quell the violence, there has not yet been any spillover into ELP.

But he says that Juarez is completely out of control with no authority to deter crime, and it is rife and random. He likens it to the Wild Wild West and says that there will be no cure until the populace bands together with the authorities in order to take the city back from the gangs and other criminals.

He says that he gets in an out of there in a big hurry driving an old beat up mini-van which does not attract any attention.

That lounge is airside , but there is not really a way to get there, the shuttle bus route is possible .

Manhattan Beach is a good suggestion though.

If you don't want to rent a car, I believe there is a shuttle from the airport hotels to downtown MB. Then an easy walk to the boardwalk/beach.

While I haven't visited it, everyone says the NZ lounge is where it's at. You do need to do the AA shuffle, but it shouldn't be much of an issue.

You can just tell them that you're going on an AA flight and don't have your BP. Once you're there, just hop on the bus to T2.

No idea about the lounge in TBIT, but there is no way to get behind security in TBIT without a BP that I know of. (I have no idea if the lounge is behind security or not).

I didn't see it when I logged in and just called them. For individual lines, it's $49.99. If you have a family line, it's $89.99 for the first two lines and then $39.99 for each additional line.

I will confirm that the NZ lounge is definitely miles better than any RCC ever has been or ever will be. If you are coming in on UA, it is a relatively short (10 minute max with baggage) walk across the airport interior roads from UA to the terminal where NZ is located (I don't remember the numbering of the terminals). You will need a BP unless you can talk your way into some sort of gate pass.

For complete details on getting over to NZ from UA at LAX, check out lucky9876's Trip Report on his trip to New Zealand last year.

I'll be at work on Monday 3/30 night. Are you coming in on CO40?

We'll be arriving on CO648

Nope, still in Silicon Valley, just to a different house.

That's a b:rolleyes:atl:rolleyes:ad more than I'm already paying which is $69 for the first two lines and $9.99/ea for the other two. From what I've heard all it gets me is extra daytime minutes. We already have unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited calls to other T-Mobile customers. We almost never go over our monthly quota of minutes. Though it would be nice not to worry about going over, that's not worth the rather large incremental difference in c:rolleyes:st.

YHPM. Maybe we'll say hi as we're both rushing to our planes.

Morning, Box.

Off to SEA today - I've wanted to go there for since elementary school, and I'm finally getting it off the list. :D

I've heard as much. I'm doing the 48-hour whirlwind inclusive of Boeing. As long as I see the important stuff, I'll be happy.

Two empty memory cards and a full tank of gas...
