LOL. I never did get a chance to ask you your take on the Do - I'm guessing that your head was swimming in name-handle associations.

Why would you do that??? Don't do that man. People ask me about law school and it takes all I have to choke down the words of displeasure about it.

At least I'd have a usable degree.

So is it normal to get a reject form letter less than 24 hours after a phone conversation where it is established that you're "still in the running"? :(

Abby Normal, for sure.

More proof that the US airline industry is in dire need of some very specific contraction:

Spirit to levy fee for ticket booking

I just heard a story tonight on the way to the Ambassador's thing that Spirit is no longer honoring residual value of tickets. You buy it and don't fly it, F U. Gotta buy a new ticket. No option to pay change fee, nothing.

Proud to be ACY's carrier...they screw you to get there, they screw you while you're here, and they screw you to leave.

Plus1 got an invite to a 30 year reunion - not his of course - the class ahead of his (yes, yes, I realize most of you were not even born in 1979) and there was a class rep whom Plus1 did not know so he had to get out his yearbook to look her up. This of course, led to other discussion such as who he took to proms, etc. BL JR got into the discussion and was pi$$ed to hear that dad had dated someone else. I, of course, said she was going to be really pi$$ed when she finds out about the explus1:D. So the reunion looks fun and we'll have a good time. We went to his last one and one his friends shouted (so everyone could hear) "How is it Plus1 can get 2 wives when I still can't get 1?" It was a shining moment of the reunion.

Just covering myself as I'm still quite new and didn't want to break any proverbial eleventh commandments...but I figured that a little side ramblage was safe enough. :)

You are so not funny. Especially since it's less than a month now until I pass the halfway point between 30 and 40.

Don't worry, that is an easy one. Wait till you turn 40 like 70% of the Box!

I agree. It also makes me want to take a trip somewhere, anywhere.

I don't need pictures. Just a drive to downtown Stillwater has me booking a ticket. Lucky they don't have computers at the wine bar otherwise I would have had 3 tickets booked last week!

Just flew UA new C with lie-flat seats over the weekend to LHR and back. I have to say, ^ way up for a business class product. Excellent service as usual. Significant bliss was waitlisted for an upgrade. I asked the agent if she could put a note in the PNR so we could sit together if the upgrade cleared. The station manager at LHR came over and blocked the business seat next to me and wrote me a note to bring it to the gate agent ^

At ORD RCC, significant bliss was also waitlisted for the domestic upgrade to LAX. I also asked the agent if she could put a note in the PNR so we could sit together if the upgrade cleared. She replied, ohhh, there are still plenty of seats in F and since you are an 1K, I'll just clear you into F right now. ^ If only a PC agent would ever do that ;)

Well if you had a good time in UA BC that is good news for us I guess as the CO BF seat is modeled after the UA one right?

Happy Birthday! I am trying to catchup with some and exceeding others! Either way I am doing fine!

At my last company, we got purchased. Deal Close + 30, they rolled out the hammer. Our office of 70 lost about 50 people.

The crack HR staff told about 10 people that they we OK, then canned them that very afternoon. Canned a couple in the morning and then told them as they were cleaning out their desks "never mind, you're staying." Three or four were handed termination papers with somebody else's name on it. A friend on mine was told he was OK and about an hour later he was told he was gone unless he wanted to continue on at half pay.

I left awhile later when the stock was at $35 a share. A couple years later they were at $5 and now they're in the 25¢ range.

I was told I was doing a good job and what projects were coming my way in the next three months. I was canned the next day.

Baglady told me that ramblage was a prerequisite. Is that not correct?
