From UB's website (go to Visitors / Public Transportation)

Train

UB is one block south of Pennsylvania Station (which offers Amtrak and MARC service) on Charles Street.

Spirit to levy fee for ticket booking

I just heard a story tonight on the way to the Ambassador's thing that Spirit is no longer honoring residual value of tickets. You buy it and don't fly it, F U. Gotta buy a new ticket. No option to pay change fee, nothing.

Proud to be ACY's carrier...they screw you to get there, they screw you while you're here, and they screw you to leave.

I actually have no problem with that approach, as long as they fully disclose it from the get-go. RyanAir does the same thing. If one is willing to subject themselves to those limitations just to save a few bucks, why not let them?

I've yet to figure out what "on topic" is here, so ramblings truly shouldn't be a problem.

Suggestions?

I wouldn't stay by the airport unless you need to be at the airport. Cabs from there are annoying and expensive.

I really enjoy Life. It's weird and a little hard to follow (unless you've watched from the beginning), but well done. Plus I like "Jonesy" (Charlie Crews), aka, Damian Lewis.

Thanks! That might be the way I go.

The Residence Inn at Inner Harbor is three blocks from the light rail, so I'll try that.

ALCO definitely seems like a ton of fun, but my very first interaction with sbm12 has been seared into my brain... at the IAH E PC... with drinks not only in his hands, but also in his hawaiian shirt pocket... red wine even.

Now THAT is a true professional! :)

Any man that can double-fist Charlierinhas at the South PC is indeed a true professional. The feats of liver strength he displayed in BRU were truly epic. I hear an Icelandic playwright is writing a trilogy of Viking sagas to commemorate the feat.

So if I understand this, I could get off my flight and get a lounge shower if my room wasn't ready? (The correct answer to this would also do much to justify the NW WC 30-day membership thing.) I have the airport Hilton booked and an early check-in request on file, but it would be nice to know that I have a backup option.

Yes. I would recommend purchasing a one-way refundable biz class ticket to somewhere on KL over the 30-day membership. At least the ticket would be refundable.
