I tried that. Things are not looking good for the direct flights tomorrow. They suggested that I talk to an agent at the airport for better routing options. I didn't have time to call back again and try with a different agent. I found some non-direct options tomorrow.

Hopefully, there are sufficient cancellations for tomorrow's flights that an airport agent can get you seats on a non-stop.

Indeed.

Weather in the Northeast is supposed to be bad again over the next two days or so.

My next flight is in seven days. No flights over christmas. But in Europe I also have a lot of cancellations because of the weather conditions.

How many Christmas parties do you normally attend ?

This year there were only three, but two were last night. Some years it's five or six.

What's going on in Terminal C corridor with the PC North? The entire corridor is blocked off by Houston PD and there's a newschannel cameraman and reporter here.

Any chance CO is using it for their media/response HQ for the DEN incident? The pax are probably on their way back by now on the rescue flight, I'd assume.

My guess would be it's something related to the accident in DEN yesterday? Maybe that's where the flight they brought some of the passengers to Houston on this afternoon arrived?

It arrived about two hours ago, according to the Houston Chronicle.

I just heard from the rep in the south of that the north was for the Denver flight. Shows class to me for them to close a pier and a pc to hive the passengers some breathing room.

Ironically there is a KLM flight on the d Tarmac with emergency vehicles around it.
