Not bad considering I only started running again about 2 months ago. I also didn't really decide to make the run a 5K until about 12 minutes in when I decided I was feeling good enough to push my stamina past the 20 minute limit where I normally cut out. I used to have it in the 23-24 minute range without trying too hard. I'd like to get back to that pace if I can.

That is a good time for a non professional ;). It is hard to get on a treadmill and not challenge yourself to run fast, but I try not to run every day (way too easy to injure myself as I get older). I find that the fastest times I will run are when I compete in 5K races, rather than on a treadmill.

yes. Yes. YES.

Ugh. Please stop posting the flightmemory stuff. I've avoided doing it for this long, I really don't need to do it. But ya'll are tempting me with these stats.

Here's what mine looks like (from memory)

YTD Miles: About 130k BIS.
Times circled around the earth: does taxi'ing around EWR count?

Flight time: does Penalty Box'ing count? (a real PB, not this)

Longest flight (hours): DCA - LGA during a snowstorm
Longest flight (miles): MUC - EWR
Longest flight booked, but didn't get to take: JFK - BKK
Shortest flight (hours): TYS - ATL
Shortest flight (miles): BCN - ALC. Or maybe ATL - TYS
Highest degree of torture: MCO - EWR (6am)
Highest degree of stress: Flying on a JK MD80 2 hours after one crashed

Number of times I've connected through IAH going home where I actually made my connecting flight: 0
Number of times I've :rolleyes:/:mad: at US: 9234089234082349872134

Worst trip: Popeyes-gate 08
I should have made a left turn in: ABQ

EUAs: not enough ;)
BF concierges that actually did something: 0.

Money given to the PANYNJ for parking: the GNP of Namibia.

Hello box ,
I just woke up from a 6 hour nap , woke up feeling ill today with a fever and sore throat.
I did manage to add a nice flight this weekend to my FM:
BLD-GCN

I'm bored and someone elsewhere asked the question for top 10 favorite military aircraft and I figured I would share here too. I came up with this list:

F-4 Phantom
P-51
B-17
A-10
ME-109
F-14
B-1b
F-4U Corsair (WWII)
F-86
Mig-29

It's a wee bit biased towards the US, but there you have it.

Belynych you get my vote for post of the day. I set up my FM and need to add lots of flights soon.

Just got done taking BL JR to the dr. She has a massive ear infection which explains her discomfort on landing last night but dr. says she'll be good to fly wed. after some good antibiotics and numbing drops.

I was crunching the numbers last night to figure out possible scenarios for the Redskins to make the playoffs. I think the only possible combination goes something like this:
  • Win next week against SF
  • Giants lose
  • Cowboys lose
  • Kurt Warner has a heart attack
  • Panthers get food poisoning
  • Philly loses all their gear flying through PHL and has to forfeit

Jason Taylor leaves my favorite team for a "contender," and the Dolphins are contending. :) Best turnaround ever!

I'm a huge P-51, F-86, and A-10 follower.

My list would probably look like this:

North American P-51
North American F-86
Messerschmitt Me-262
Focke-Wulf Fw 190
Fairchild Republic A-10
Lockheed Martin F-16
McDonnell Douglas F-15E
Saab JAS 39
Sukhoi Su-35

Thanks*. Although I have to admit a factual inaccuracy. The money I spent in parking at NYC area airports is actually higher than the GNP of Namibia.

In other news, I'll give anyone that can find 2 tickets to someplace that meets all of the following requirements all of my CO currency (enough to get you sufficiently snockered on a few flights):
  • Average daily high temperature at or above 75 degrees (F)
  • Spend at least 4 days/3 nights there
  • Depart on or after 12/28/08
  • Return on or before 1/4/09
  • 2 people
  • Max flight price $450 per person
  • SkyTeam preferred, but not essential. No Spirit. Or US.
  • Depart/return to the same NYC airport + HPN

ETA: No MCO

*I'm guessing you were referencing my above post. Unless someone has Pandy Reterson'ed my name.

Thank you for giving me something to do on a slow afternoon.

No, no, thank you.

More rules:
If I get more than one good proposal the tie-breaker will be to the itinerary I deem better.
I generally consider locations with swimmable beaches nicer than non beach locations.

As a consolation prize, in the event of multiple entries, I will send the other person my CO Platinum Elite, highly valuable bag tag stickers!

698 on CO.com. Am I missing something?

Another rule - I'd rather not be in the air or on a rental car shuttle at midnight on NYE. (e.g. I'd like my arse to be on the ground by 10pm if flying on the 31st).

Another prize -- to the winner, I'll also send you a highly coveted picture of the Canuck wearing a blame Canada shirt. Priceless!
