Hello strangers. Looks like the Box was busy while I was in MSY.
I'll try and read through the Box tonight, but wanted to fill you in a little  on this morning's flight home. We're about 80% boarded and I see two deputies get on. They stop right in front of me (I'm in 1E) and point back to row 3 and motion for the person to come with them. A gentleman (wearing a beret -- that's not important, but it helps set the scene) is escorted off, flanked by the two deputies. Everyone in the F cabin looks around at each other, but doesn't say a thing. 2 minutes later, boarding is just wrapping up and the gentleman in the beret gets back on and takes his seat. 20 seconds later, the two deputies get back on and say "Mr. Person, come with us," then the gentleman in 3F gets up and is taken off the plane. The beret gentleman says "they thought I was the other guy" to the whole cabin who is now all . The captain then gets on the PA and says "for those of you who are wondering why people keep getting taken off the plane by the deputies, there was a little confusion, apparently someone didn't pay their cab fare to the airport. But, we're all set, and we'll be on our way." BS. The warrant in the deputies hand I'm sure wasn't because of skipping on a cab fare. Then we had to do a bag match in the F cabin and off we went. It was all rather bizarre. I wonder what was going through the guys mind when the deputies pulled off the wrong person. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Oh, and for all you wondering, the person they pulled off was an EUA upgrade. Note to self - when running from the police, forgo the miles. |

It's also printed on the certificate that is usually hanging on or near 1L.

If it's a CO flight, don't forget that the Flight Information section of both CO.com and the PDA website have the fleet number, which is all you need to find it without searching ACARS, waiting for BTS, or bothering the crew. Of course, that does require searching it within just a day or so of the flight.

True and true, but I've tried to look for the 1L plate as I board I don't know how many times and never found it quick enough to take the number. I tend not to get up once seated. And yeah, I forgot to mention Airfleets.

Can the EWR-C to EWR-A dance be done with a 1h20 connection?

Absolutely. If the bus area is too crowded or doesn't look like it is moving just go out and take the AirTrain and re-clear security. Yeah, the TSA sucks, but you'll likely have no more than a 15-20 minute trip through and that can be better than the bus if it is crazy crowded.

Anyone ever bought anything through eBags.com?
I was wondering how long it took for your miles to post. 10 miles per $ is nice when you're buying a bag. |
