It didn't matter to me - inside or outside; I was getting married to the one I wanted to be with rest of my life so just relax and enjoy!

About 20 minutes before my wedding ceremony I could be spotted carrying chairs and sound gear from outside to inside because of the exact opposite in weather (sunny right up until the skies opened to the point that bridges were washed out that weekend ). But I agree that it didn't matter because the wedding was still phenomenal for all the right reasons. :D

Good luck!! Before you apply through the generic channels take advantage of some FT connections. It didn't help me get the job I wanted with them, but it can't be worse than a direct application.

And after reading the ramp crew sympathy thread I'm thinking of applying for a new job myself. ;)

I'm still vacationing. Good bit of snow on the ground here in BTV this morning.

Alright, Box, I have a challenge for you. We really want to make the next 'Do a monster success with throngs of interested FTers, more importantly, to get everyone signed up sooner rather than later. I ask that you guys and gals build the excitement level to NBA playoff levels so that new FTers and lurkers get off of there seats and join us for the fun interesting times known as a Cigarman/CO 'Do!

^^

Is there much to see/do around BTV (besides the obvious winter activities)?

Eh? I thought the event was close to capacity already.

The thought did occur to me to apply and then bring those materials to the Do. I'll just walk right up to Larry. :D

That's part of building hype and getting people to register... ;)

OK, I walked into that. But in all seriousness, the official website had quite the large number on it last time I looked. Is this year (for completely understandable reasons) not drawing as well as would be hoped?

The site is showing 439 right now which is just about the number of people that attended last year. I'm sure they're looking for an increase year over year and my guess is that they'll get one this year (maybe close to 500 by the time registration closes?).

That's what I thought too. We've also run out of things to speculate about without any new clues to speculate about. I also think a lot of people are still on vacation and haven't visted FT in some time and haven't seen the posts about registration being open. Monday can be interesting.

So far, we've done... (all within about an hour's drive of BTV)

Cabot Creamery Tour (Excellent Vermont Cheddar)
Scenic drive over snow-covered dirt roads to covered bridges
Trip to Cold Hollow Cider Mill (Excellent Cider Donuts)
Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour ^ ^ ^
Dining/Shopping on Church Street (BTV's Downtown, and quite scenic)
Trip to Lake Champlain and the Islands there

My favorite part of the trip has definitely been Quebec City. However, there is plenty to do in and around BTV, besides just skiing. We passed on skiing at Smuggler's Notch, as it got up to 50 the day we planned to go. Instead, we drove out to Tremblant from Montreal, where it was a bit more wintry 15 degrees.
