Since when does reality get in the way of the NCAA PC machine? Zips is a pluralization of an ethnic slur. They managed to kill off any number of schools with Indian-themed mascots even though the tribal leadership in some cases went to the NCAA and said that they were indifferent or even endorsed the use of the name. And I do remember reading that the NCAA would only go after the schools that it knew posed no threat to them via lawyers or the press. Way to crusade for your cause.

That tree of theirs is so stupid.

Hopefully they don't get all-PC on the Indians, Braves, or Redskins. I experienced a huge :rolleyes: when Washington changed from the Bullets to Wizards.

Hmm, and shockingly enough, the NCAA's Wiki page lists nothing about Indian or Native American themes under the 'Controversies' section.

Texas has the coolest mascot ever. Who could want more than the noble cow? Also, how one correlates Lassie with Aggie is beyond me, but I'm sure they have their reasons. Further, Sooner?! Lame.

For $1000/night, guests can drink the whole liquor cabinet. But the bar is always open for you and szg.

Oh yeah

Just got off the phone with the OPSC to have my names changed from SHAWN to SHAUN as it is listed on my passport. I thougt the whole process would be :rolleyes:, but it went very smooth. The OPSC agent made the change and then got an elite agent on the line to update all my current reservations to the updates first name^, but I cheched and I lost all my seat selections :eek:

I quickly re-selected all of my seats again. :cool:
