Not bad considering I only started running again about 2 months ago. I also didn't really decide to make the run a 5K until about 12 minutes in when I decided I was feeling good enough to push my stamina past the 20 minute limit where I normally cut out. I used to have it in the 23-24 minute range without trying too hard. I'd like to get back to that pace if I can.

I'm sitting at DSM right now and the best the agent here can do for us is a 7pm departure from IAH tomorrow. Apparently, seats on my other routings had been scooped up (I still need to confirm that) and the late evening flight was the first available. I'm going to talk to a PClub agent at IAH when we get there tonight to see if the can do anything better for us. Ahh, the joys of winter/holiday travels! :)

EDIT: The agent was nice enough to at least rebook us on a full Y fare from IAH-EWR... ^

+1. It was 0.0 degrees outside when I woke up this morning. The high today was 9. :rolleyes:

I was at IAH - Terminal C check-in holding a camera. Waiting to get sound from passengers arriving. Apparently, the NBC station paid for a ticket - just to get a photographer on the other side of security. Curious. Could it have been a refundable ticket? Say, one for IAH-PHL in Y, and refunded before the flight took off? I was thinking of doing that. The ABC station sent a crew to Denver. Why? Maybe just to say they're there. BFD. The pax we talked to seemed very grateful to have survived. One woman said, this seemed like it was from the movies, only we starred in it.

C24 is where the pax from DEN came in on flight #1942.

Went out with empties in front. Guess they only kept the front cabin at 8. I wonder if there were any other elites on the flight.

I wonder what seat Larry was in.

Flights booked for BRU Do! Pretty annoyed that VLM didn't send the confirmation email. I don't have my PNR. :(

Trip in Vain
 

What are the basic rules of trip in vain? I had a situation where if I took my flights I would miss other flights that day. Does this qualify for trip in vain in halls book.

I'm playing around with flights to go someplace warm over New Years and things are all absolutely ridiculous.

I was looking at flights down to PTY and it would only sell me seats up front. But, when I click on the seat map there's a ton of seats in back on the morning non-stop out of EWR. What gives?

Also, I really find it hard to believe that every seat between South Florida and NY is taken on the 3rd and 4th of January.
