Not too surprising as it doesn't make sense for CO to keep operations at LGW only for a 1x daily seasonal flight. CDG will probably drop because of SkyTeam. FRA is too far, right? I wonder if they could do BRU to connect to SN. I'd say MAN and the BD connections, but those would seem to be disappearing pretty quickly, too.

Agreed. I think it will come down to the fact that they are extending the runways to support international traffic, and it is disappearing as they are building the runway. We'll see what happens. Maybe they can get a seasonal slot at LHR, which would be good. My source said they were planning on seeing 76s here... but I'll believe that when I see it. If we did get 76s here - then I don't think there'd be a problem getting to FRA for onward connections.

I'd really like to see them route more flights via CLE to Europe - because it is such a drag to have to connect at EWR. With as unpredicable as that is - it seems like it would be a benefit to have that option out of CLE. But what do I know, right? ;)

This looks like fun. This was the most that I've flown in any year ever, but it's so tiny it would make a FT'er :o

2009 and 2010 should be interesting years for CO CLE. I also have heard that we may get a 767 here in 2010 when other widebodies hit the fleet and, if so, that should mean we get a FRA or MUC flight from CLE. Otherwise, BRU is about the only other choice that gets feed from the EU and is still in range of the 752. Then again, we need to see how CO integrates with *A and if/when the new FIS facilities gets built in Terminal C. NW was holding it back with silly demands regarding a move to Terminal A, but now that they are Delta I am guessing this is less of a case and they will move to B or A without as many greedy demands.

That FIS needs to be rebuilt before any of us CLE folks push for expanding service. The current one is an embarrassment....

It is true that when it rains we have a logarithmic increase in accidents, but it isn't so bad when you consider that it rains about five times a year. ;)

And today is one of those days.

I don't have a flight memory, because it would look like this:

PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR-PIT-EWR....

sdm1130 Dec 22, 2008 11:16 am

Ugh - I didn't get home until 5:30 this morning. We left IAH about 3 hours late and didn't get in to EWR until 4am. I'm exhausted.

The good news - I flew my last flight of the year last night and requalified for Plat about 100 miles outside of IAH. ^

MSY would be a great option. SAT is another great one. Lots of alcohol at both places.

My youngest (boy) who is a HS senior, sleeps with the windows of his room open and a ceiling fan going. He even has a small fan attached to his headboard and it runs all winter. When it gets this cold, I don't even go into his room, it is so cold. In the summer, he dies since it is way too warm for him.

Needless to say, his college apps were decided on location, and it was all North, although he didn't take us up on the U. of Minn. :D
