I caught an aluminum basbeall bat square in the face.

DXB for a hub certainly has its challenges. Now I know why EK buys widebodies like people buy packs of gum.

Very true plus it is further complicated by our small world, which diminishes your destinations within narrow body range.

ssullivan / COFlyerCle = thank you for the crawfish reference. YUM. One of the things I miss most about living in Louisiana. There is NOTHING like a crawfish boil. I'm almost thinking about ordering a few dozen pounds of the live critters and hosting a small version of one up here in NJ just to share the joy with my poor uninformed colleagues. :)

A couple years ago the S/O gave me a cooking class at the Viking store - where we cooked a whole Mardi Gras meal. From that menu - the thing we still make are the Crawfish Ettouffee Appetizers, which are amazing.

Even here in suburban CLE - we can buy frozen crawfish year round for making this. Mmmmm...

Weather report from Midtown Manhattan - just got our first lightening strike followed by a little thunder. I am on floor 30 and cant see across Bryant park to the new BofA building.

Have you taken Michael Symon's or Loretta Paganini's classes? ^^

Just got that, too. Sadly, I walked out to grab lunch with just my jacket and not an umbrella since it was just a light drizzle. Not so much anymore. It isn't as bad as the peak downpour, but I'll definitely be wet when I get home.

Glad to hear that you are not there.

If anyone is bored with this being a Friday afternoon, here are some photos from Oahu to help pass the time.

We haven't yet, but we have worked with Bob Sferra. He used to run the cooking school at Viking (Lyndhurst). We are trying to set up an evening get together where he teaches a cooking class in our kitchen for a group of our friends, then serves a full meal for us. We chose this house becuase it is great for entertaining (even for potential Box functions), so I'll keep you posted!
