I was bored this morning so I priced out IAH-CPT-SYD-FRA-IAH on LH in F, just to see how large my back account would have to be... $32,000/person. Wow.

LH actually sells SYD-SIN on QF (A380), thought that was a bit strange.

QF or SQ? I didn't know QF was sending their A380 to SIN.

QF. I did a double take.

This is for November and the A380 is showing up SYD-SIN.

Interesting! I know there is a lot of traffic between SYD and SIN but 2 A380s (SQ and QF) in addition to the handful of other widebodies is quite impressive.

That's a good value. Think of how much Piper chard you'd have to drink to recoup your ticket costs.

So much that I'd be too drunk to enjoy the destinations.

Love it! Sounds like my Mom when I was growing up - "eat your dinner, there are children starving in Biafra". To which I would reply: "well put my dinner in an envelope and send it to them". This was usually followed with expletives from her and a grounding for me ....:D

Round Rock Donuts - yum! Also, Rudy's BBQ breakfast burritos - yum!

Round Rock Donuts are very tasty, plus you can get them at the Austin Java in the airport.

If you want a good breakfast experience, try Juan in a Million and order the "Don Juan" with extra tortillas. I'm sure this place is packed now because it was always busy but it was recently featured on Man v. Food...

Television always ruins my favorite places. :(

The next time I visit Round Rock/Austin, I'll give it a try. Austin and San Antonio are my favorite places in Texas. I come down to San Antonio quite often on business, and just hate to leave. Friends live in Round Rock, so I try to drive up to see them when I'm down there. Always love the RR Donuts!!

Now, I'd move to Texas in a heartbeat .... unfortunately, Mr Brit is a "Manhattan-Boy" and his feet are firmly cemented there. (Even though he's British, he just loves the buzz of Manhattan and can't imagine moving away).

Sigh!

Yeah, yeah. I'm only about 1,000 yards over the border into Broward when I'm there. I do have an uncle in Vero, and I'd love to do a few days of golf with him up that way. I almost got a job selling/repping a small hotel there, but I was warned by the hotel bartender not to trust the owner. Bartender isn't too shabby of a golfer, either.

Fried chicken. Phenomenal.

Haven't had it in a while, but I remember it well. We should have a South Florida Golf and Publix DO.

Where did the plane go?!

It's in the same spot that the Starbucks is on the island. On the upside, they can crank the time wheel backward and maybe undo the plane crash. That would be nice. (What a stupid show. The little that I know of it I use to make fun of it.)

Like a hand in a glove. Predictable angle to take from CBS.

See above. Great courses down my way.

BOOOOOO. If 95 goes partial-toll thru Broward, that will send even more bluehairs and speed limit minimum people onto the Turnpike. I haaaaaate the Florida Turnpike. With a passion. For all the God's waiting room jokes, what the people telling those jokes don't say is that the Turnpike is God's overflow lounge.

Keep your head on a swivel. Publix in Florida is almost like Wawa in New Jersey. You're bound to see a few.

That would be dan1431. He PM'd me last night for access, but I was mobile and did not have the time to ask him to introduce himself.

Totally agree. It makes me wonder something. Over the last 40 years or so, the NSA has closed down listening posts all over the world that eavesdropped on foreign communications, citing the fact that they can do it better and cheaper digitally. Those spots were picked for geographic reasons. Why not put radars at some of the sites concerning the Atlantic instead of listening equipment? I'm not saying ignore the Pacific, but the Atlantic is probably an easier puzzle to solve size-wise.

I saw and approved a proof of my new business cards this morning. ^^ The wheels grind slowly, but grind they do indeed.

I also, of course right after I start a new job, get an offer to go back to the Middle East and play with explosives again, but this time as a civilian. Poo. When I was over there, I didn't wanna leave...now someone is offering to pay me more than twice as much as what I made while in uniform to go back, and of course said offer has to come now. Upon typing that last line and re-reading it, I realized that "poo" is much too weak of a word to describe the feeling at hand.

Morning, Box.

Most areas in FL have a ton of great courses! Last I read, PBC alone had close to 200 of them! ^

I'm not even sure I could count all of the courses within a 20 minute drive... :) Of course, some of the fees are nuts!
