Hi, box! 4 days away from the box, and ~40 pages to catch up on... I'm sure it was highly entertaining, and but maybe I'll just jump to the front of the line...

So how's this for some upcoming overpriced mileage-porn:

BOS-MEM-LIT-ATL-MCO-PTY-SCL-GRU-LIM-BOG-IAH-FLL-CLE-BOS
|----NW---|---DL---|---CM---|-LA-|---LA---|--------CO--------|

Excluding the LAN segments, I'm looking at 21,966 OP miles, including the 150% H on the CM segments and Y/B on CO. Plus DEQM on CO legs.

In addition to the miles, I get 4 new FM dots, and a new FM line for every leg w/the exception of BOS-MEM, LIT-ATL, and CLE-BOS

Learned something in the Box - didn't know CM flew MCO-PTY.

Mini's are cute, but they are very cramped inside.

I'm 6' and found the driving postion really nice and even the back seat surprisingly easy to get into.

The only :td: is the tough fit for my clubs.

Wow! that's great. Of course, I am thinking of the original Mini Cooper's back in the UK in the 70's. Now, if that doesn't date me, I don't know what does ......

I don't golf so the clubs not fitting wouldn't bother me !!! ;)

Not for long. Bye-bye Big K soonish.

OH WOW. Yeah, I kind of saw that coming...ouch. :(

Apparently, the next weapon to be purchased is a 9mm, which I have been promised is distinctly less ridiculous!

9mm hardly kicks at all - hold it right and you'll be fine. Non-firing hand wrapped around the opposite side of the grip with the non-firing index finger pulling on the front of the trigger guard, to counter the push that your firing hand palm is putting into the backstrap. That way your hands and forearms absorb all the recoil and the sights don't move that much after the first shot. Also learn how to feel your gun's trigger cheat. You do not have to bring the trigger all the way back to the starting position on many semiautos. You will hear and feel a spring click back into tension and when you hear it, you can pull the trigger again. Less trigger travel equals a more consistent sight picture, which means more holes closer together. If you want to get on the range sometime, let me know. With you in central NJ and my range of choice within sight of I-295, I'd be willing to bet we could make the timing work. :)

If a KMart is a strip mall anchor, I would guess it's going to get sold and rebranded?

At 6'3" I would be hesitant to try a Mini. The driver's seat in my Civic is all the way back and partially reclined, and I don't want to think about using my back seat. My clubs are cramped in my trunk, but that's because of the subwoofer back there...back when I listened to rock and metal in my car instead of satellite talk.

Just saw one in Louisville at Outer Loop and New Cut Road right smack next to, get this, a Super Wal Mart.

Hondas are very rare on rental lots. Very rare.

I got one from Hertz recently, an Accord. I will say that is the best car of that class I have ever driven. It runs head and shoulders above the Camry, Hyundai, and Nissan. Surprisingly, IMO second in that class is something called a Kia. That was also a pretty sweet rental car.

Or converted to a Sears Essentials or such.

Most of the ones in IAH are sitting empty. Coming soon to a strip center near you - eyesores & firetraps.
