I went to enough hockey games when I was working in Montreal to have learned that in French. Oh Canada, terre de nos aieux, ton front est ceint des fleurons glorieux...I must admit that I have forgotten the rest of it except for the ending of... protagerons nos foyers et nos droits.. It is quite an amazing long time ago but I do hear it from time to time and refresh the recollection whenever one of the local teams is playing up there.

I'm working out there this week and will get there on Tuesday before all of the agony has subsided. They do take that stuff seriously out there.

And speaking of dating myself, I remember Roger Doucet singing the anthem at the Montreal Forum.

Sitting in the LAS PC with 3 litres of Hoffbrau Haus beer on board.

It is *way* too bright in here.

The "problem" is that VZ/RIM made the world phone only work on a couple GSM frequencies, namely the ones that are not in use in the USA. Since Panama uses the same ones as the USA I'm screwed. Then again, I got to watch ships pass through the Panama Canal today without caring if I had a new email message, so I'm not so sure how much I really lost in that deal.

That's how I know it, though from college hockey, not the pros.

Yes, mine fits into a decent sized purse. Light and easy to carry around. Wouldn't want to use it for work, though, but for traveling and accessing the internet it's perfectly adequate.

I have used my little hp mininote 2133 for work 10 days in a row as my only laptop, liked it a lot :)

I think I mentioned it's easy to spend a few hours there watching, even with the fairly oppressive temperatures. ;)
