There was some guy on the TSS forum claiming that it required a swipe to generate a key from the text to be able to garner any useful data from the RFID chips. So much for that theory, huh? I'm really glad that I got mine renewed just before they started issuing the RFID ones. I've got 7 years left, assuming that I can continue to get pages added.

I had a Y fare that I changed flights on (moved to an earlier flight) and was told that there was not a Y up seat available; however there was an A for $50 more. I wanted to get home, so I paid it. I've seen other cases online where Yups weren't available, but F was still for sale (this was in Nov.) so bought an A fare instead.

That happened to me last year. The CSR pretty clearly explained that buying a Y seat is buying a coach seat, even if it puts me, immediately, in First. Being that Y was 0'ed out the only way to get my arse on the plane was to actually pony up for the First.

The key is that a Y (and now B) seat AND an F (formerly A) seat must be available on the plane. If only Y (or B) is available then you book into Y and are at the top of the EUA/Battlefield list, right behind displaced F passengers. If only F is available then you have to buy in to the F cabin or buy a lower coach fare.

hrm would anyone be up for hot foods and fruit salad at the E PC Friday from noon till 5pm? I am having a wild hair of an idea go through my head, if any interest in bagel pizzas, fruit salads/fruit and nut salads, maybe some nice hot cheese spread for the chips.....let me know I will see about asking Scott for permissions to do it ;)

about the RFID Passports, I carry mine in an ID Secure slip, along with my blink and paypass enabled credit cards in their own slips.

Luckily, it is a 737-700 on the flight out

I'm getting my first 73G on BWI-IAH in March. I'm only missing -100, -600, and -900 after that. Those, A318, and 753 are the entirety of the remaining major narrowbodies not flown.

I just noticed that, due to daylight savings, I have a 30 min connection in IAH during one of my BWI-SEA runs. Of course, it has to come after the redeye from SEA where a shower would have been greatly appreciated. :(

I'm missing the -100 and -600, as well as a bunch of Airbus models. I've had my fill of the EMB-145 :)

AVP for $180?! Heck yes!

Much rather prefer a fresh little sandwich, a bag of chips and a Twix.

Anyways, my flight didn't clear either..

Nor did mine.... Oh wait.. It's an RJ.

Good luck on the 100, 600,especially the 100.

I wonder if Bloomberg was as boring and monotone as his public speaking when the groundhog bit him.

"I've been bit by a groundhog. There is nothing to fear; go about your normal lives."

And in other news, I'm watching the replay of the Devils/Pittsburgh game, and I have really grown tired of Sidney Crosby crying to the officials if he is so much as touched. Man up and embody that C on your sweater, kid. Of course, OTOH, when the crybaby gets cranky to the point that he fights, that indeed is hilarious.

I have to get four sets of transcripts to start my teaching certificate process. I just love filling out forms. It's Awesome.

-600 is not a challenge. SAS has a bunch of them and when CO joins star, you will probably connect to one of them at OSL or ARN

As for the -100, that ship has sailed. The last one (only 30 produced) was retired a few years back: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Mexic...ext_id=0400728

-600 and A318 can be a relatively easy intra-Europe flight, and there's always Frontier. Airfleets says there are no more commercially active 737-100's so far as I can tell.

You need to get on those LAS-AREA 51 flights
I think they use 737-100's
