No better way to start the morning than with an 05:40am departure.

Morning, Box. It's "pack two suitcases" day in the CM house. Back to the fiancee's house tomorrow for her niece's birthday and stay out there til Friday morning.

Do you get to fly, at least?

On an unrelated note, I am now an AC convert. Extremely comfortable Y seats, AVOD, and superb service all get a big ^ from me. My last flight with them was before the fleet got refurbed to the new standard. AC may have the best Y cabins in N. America at the moment. A half-empty E175 was also a nice touch.

Did any of you get the 5 Day EUA for the party flight?

Yeah, on Friday to IAH. She lives about 10 minutes from PHL, so whenever it is now feasible, I will go out there the night before and have a 20-minute door-to-door instead of over an hour.

I have sinned. No tail number for my E175 flight last night. Hopefully it pops up in an ACARS database in the next few days. IIRC, there are quite a few ACARS loggers in and around YYZ.

I agree about the comfort of their seats. I actaully found their seats recline too much for 31" pitch. It makes it hard to see the screen as it doesn't tilt enough when the seat in front of you is fully reclined unless you slump down, which I do anyway. The service didn't seem anything special with me. There was an issue with the veggie wrap on the one flight I’ve been with them being a mushy mess and FA's were very apologetic / embarrassed about it and recommended to passengers to not purchase it. I would have expected FA’s on other airlines to w/ paid food to have tossed that mess around regardless.

It seems only the people sitting in 15A and 16A got the EUA. They also sold 3 F seats (B-ups?) yesterday so I'd suspect they are pushing hard to sell the seats.

I noticed they moved today's version of the flight from gate C29 to E2 after over a week in C south. I wonder if they are going to try and consolidate all of the DO people in th E PC?

ConciergeMike Feb 2, 2009 8:26 am

ALCO, at least you only have 15 AC E175's to choose from.

rolov Feb 2, 2009 8:30 am

Big  to the CO security screening in MAD before check in .
They asked me the usual questions about luggage and packing , no problems there.
Then the lady asked what hotel I stayed at , and after answering the questions , she asked to see the hotel bill to prove that I actually stayed there

They were asking every passenger the same thing , So it was not worthy of a discrimination thread .

Martin Schaedel, a business consultant for Fare Compare, was killed in a plane crash in Santa Monica: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...s-believe.html

:(

Just now saw that the other victim was the GM of Airliners.net, Paulo Emanuele.

MAD

So - what if you didn't stay at a hotel?

Or if I wanted to be green and save paper and have the bill emailed to me

It was a ridiculous question , for a minute I thought I was in Canadia .

The meteorologists are really back pedaling on this week's "storm of the century". No surprise there...

They were not counting on Phil to see his shadow today , so it was going to be the last Storm ever.
