I'm a big fan of SmugMug, as are a couple of others here, including sbm12 and MilesDavis. It costs a little more than some of the others, but what you get for that is a highly customizable site with tons of options for changing the look and feel of your photo galleries. I've played around with a few other sites, including Flickr, but haven't found any other that is as flexible as SmugMug is. In fact, I really hate Flickr's layout and the fact that you can't quickly browse through a photoset using the keyboard. One other thing I really love about SmugMug is that I can upload photos from my computer to my SmugMug account directly from my Adobe Photoshop Organizer, which is what I use to organize, tag, and caption the thousands of photos on my hard drive. When the photos upload, they upload with the tags and captions attached, so I only have to do all that once to have everything indexed on both my computer and SmugMug. Overall I'm pretty happy with their service, and feel that the annual subscription fee I pay is well worth it for what I'm getting.
This thread from the Travel Photo forum has some discussion of the topic. If you do sign up there is a 50% off coupon that was floating around for a while or a current user can get you and them $5 for a referral. And mark me as +3 for not sleeping last night. Didn't fall asleep until after 2 and up at 6:30. Not going to be a happy day today... |
Just over three hours until I have to go back to ATL for this week's trip. After being gone last week for work and over the weekend I'm in the mood to just stay home for a couple of days. Too bad I can't.

Want to trade? I'll stay home this week and you can go to Baton Rouge for me. You'll even get to sit in F for all flights. Only thing is I still get the RDMs and EQMs.
Also, YHPM - Minor aerogeek crisis. :D |

Oh that's part of the no travel. The SO is in Houston, so you don't have to go to fabulous Louisiana.

Well, it's been an absolutely stellar day. We woke up this morning and checked out of our hotel in PHX with the full intention of driving back to SAN today after spending time with the fiance's parents. I walked outside to load the bags in the rental car and discovered the driver's door window busted out and the new watch and some shoes we got yesterday stolen.
Having waived the ridiculous damage coverages from Enterprise, I am now likely stuck paying for a replacement window which will be installed by a dealership in Scottsdale. My auto insurance will cover it but not without me paying my $1000 deductible, so I'm hoping the MasterRental insurance from MasterCard will take care of that. Anyone have experience filing a claim through them? Sigh. :( Now, the Enterprise folks were a PITA to work with, probably because we didn't buy insurance from them. They did everything they could to make our lives more difficult. |

It's a shame that belynch is unavailable to comment further on his lovely dealings with Enterprise. His post about "my first ruler" was the first FT post that earned a standalone spot in my bookmarks.
Re: photo hosting - I'm currently a Photobucket guy, only because I haven't had the time or motivation to migrate over and set up a gallery for what I think is some of my saleable stuff. I finally broke past the weight loss plateau I'd been fighting - now at -22 since starting this job. I had been stuck at -17 for about 3 weeks. I slept great - sorry to those who didn't. |

Oh that's just standard operating procedure for Enterprise. NEVER rent from them. They are bottom feeding scum.

I think I can pass on BTR.
And I should check and see what it is I'm supposed to be doing there this week. I have no clue. |
